  • "Service will be and has been extremely disappointing on tables of 9 or 10 expect long waits for food to arrive and long waits between courses."
  • "Had to remind staff to take order, quite a wait for service."
  • "The front of house staff was very rude last night and abrupt from walking through the door!"

Ambiance and Location

Pros:

  • "Absolutely love this place, is has beautiful grounds and views, and the building is very quaint."

  • "Really lovely place, awesome views over the hills around Mold."
  • "Lovely rural setting on the outskirts of Mold."

Cons:

  • "Sat on one of the outside tables under the glass canopy. The table surface looked and was a bit grubby compared to the ones which had no cover and had been out in the open and 'weathered'."

  • "The Toilet door are very heavy and are hard to open."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "The wine list is excellent and good value."
  • "Prices are reasonable and the food is served piping hot, well presented and the portions are of a generous size."
  • "The food has never disappointed not only in taste and presentation, but value for money."
  • "The restaurant serves tasty food with big portion sizes at an affordable price."
  • "The prices were great for what you got!"
  • "Good atmosphere, good food, reasonably priced and nice views over Mold if you get the weather to eat alfresco."
  • "I thought it was expensive but the bottom line is, as they say you get what you pay for and it was absolutely value for money."

Cons:

  • "Food was good but tends toward the expensive. The price of a glass of wine is actually objectional, especially for fairly bog-standard products."
  • "£16 for 2 glasses I thought was very steep."
  • "With 2 glasses of wine - £30."
  • "The dinner's are expensive."
  • "However, when I ordered a double g&t (gordons) I didn't believe that the atmosphere, albeit pleasant, could possibly justify a charge of £8.30."
  • "Expensive drinks too, £7.60 for a glass of wine."
  • "For two people with a single drink each (one pint of beer and orange juice) a Sunday roasts each and one starter of pate and toast for £50 seams a little excessive."
