Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The food is incredible."
  • "Pretty tasty food at quite reasonable prices."
  • "The Food is amazing, the menu is simple, very easy to make a quick fire decision."
  • "The Spicy pulled pork burger is so good! The chips with raclette on top is also from another world."
  • "The food was all amazing here, we had the senior and the benny, both were presented and tasted amazing!"
  • "The BJ burger, chips and mac and cheese bites are fantastic. The burger had so much flavour and the meat patty was particularly juicy."
  • "Seriously good ribs, chicken wings and pulled pork! The homemade buns also a special touch!"

Cons:

  • "The biggest issue was the pulled pork itself. Pulled pork should be a shredded tangle of moist, yielding meat. It shouldn't be pre-chewed, watery, and under-seasoned."
  • "The food is good but nothing amazing."
  • "Eggs were not high quality and also I think the menu should indicate if they are free range.. It was missing the ‘spicy tomato sauce’ which was a shame."
  • "The food was very expensive and not tasty at all."
  • "The ribs were a bit dried, and it was supposedly Korean bbq flavoured, but it tasted just like regular bbq sauce."
  • "Cold, tough, tasteless ribs."
  • "The food was really bland and tasteless, food just thrown in the plate without care, and cold."

Service

Pros:

  • "The staff is so friendly and helpful, the food is more than delicious made with love and care."

Cons:

  • "However there was no itemised receipt and we had to wait 25 minutes for the bill to even turn up and asked three times for it."
  • "Really disappointed by my lunch at the joint. First of all very poor customer service."
  • "The service was abit rude and didnt return our change. .a generous tip!"
  • "They had ONE server, completely understaffed, underwhelming food, over priced food, burgers don't come with chips so you have to pay even more for fries, no heating, shocking service."
  • "The service was a bit slow given they had quite a few tables to cater for."
  • "We waited for a while near the door before the waitress even acknowledged us."
  • "Service was very slow and the food all came at different times."

  • "Prices are very reasonable."
  • "This place truly deserves a 5 star rating – amazing food at bargain prices."
  • "Had the lunch time deal, £10 for a burger & chips, decent value for money."
  • "Amazing food, really well priced for London."

Cons:

  • "The Joint looks like a cool place from the outside... All in all, the food is quite expensive for what it is..."

  • "The food is quite expensive for what it is..."
  • "The Burger was Well Over Cooked! Not Great & certainly not worth £10."
  • "The food was very expensive and not tasty at all."

  • "Great vibe for an evening. Would definitely go again."
  • "The atmosphere is kind of unique. We were sitting outside and it was nice to be surrounded by other people eating next door."
  • "It was a great atmosphere and lively place to be in."
  • "A little gem right in the heart of brixton market."

Cons:

  • "What a horrible experience! In 2023 England my skin tone still bothers people and I am provided second class treatment!"
  • "I also ended up with a very hot head and face because the heat lamp was so intense above us - it actually made the table water steam up!"
  • "Make sure to wrap up warm in the winter as there is no indoor seating and outdoor heating isn't guaranteed."
