Theatre Experience

Pros:

  • "The theater is beautiful and they've figured out how to flow crowds in and out without it feeling like a stampede."
  • "Very friendly staff who advised us what seat to choose."
  • "A really great venue. The legroom is better than most other central London theatres."
  • "This theatre was outstanding, but we were on the back row of the dress circle."

Cons:

  • "The seats offered quite a luxurious amount of leg room. The only downside I found was that the seat squabs seem to slope forwards."
  • "The seats are on the small size though. I’m 6ft, medium to large build and I had no elbow space."
  • "The seating was very tight and uncomfortable, with very little leg room (grand circle)."
  • "The seats fold down and have a small foot rest with them. They do lean forward a little bit."

Show Quality

Pros:

  • "Moulin Rouge was one of the best shows she’s ever had the pleasure of seeing. We loved every aspect of the show."
  • "Spectacular scenery and backgrounds, Amazing sound."
  • "If you can score good tickets, it’s definitely worth the watch."
  • "Absolutely amazing experience. Went to see Moulin Rouge the Musical. Staff were amazing and friendly."

Cons:

  • "A few poorly working lights. Some nice legs and lots of colours."
  • "Downsides of the theatre are the toilets are ok at best. They need to be modernised."
  • "The only small downside to the show is that it's super modernised and the songs are replaced with newer pop songs."
  • "Overall, singers are not good enough compared to other musicals… Shocked by that Moulin Rouge can be boring…"

Accessibility and Staff Service

Pros:

  • "Having a disability I required some extra help to get to my seat. They took us to the area where the lift was and explained that someone will be along in about 15 minutes to take us down."
  • "Everything was stunning - really exceptional. I also experienced the accessibility team, who were the true stars of the show as far as I was concerned."
  • "Got an incredible service when we arrived, as the ticket inspector at the door saw that my wife was walking with assistance from walking sticks. We immediately got a personal escort to our seats to avoid the stairs."

Cons:

  • "The theatre itself did make it hard for me to enjoy myself. The seats were small and uncomfortable, with very little leg room (grand circle)."
  • "The theatre itself let things down. Uncomfortable seats (front row of the grand circle), small bar and lack of toilets."

Price and Value

Pros:

  • "Quick and easy entry. £130 per person is steep but a lovely evening and the show lasted between 1930 hrs - 2230 hrs with an interval."
  • "Incredible experience here to see Moulin Rouge. The show aside, which was absolutely fantastic, the setting, surroundings, and staff here all add to the positives."

Cons:

  • "I bought 2 small bottles of water and a drink (single) and was charged £16, over the top prices!!"
  • "Bar prices very reasonable and the venue is comfortable and well run. We were lucky enough to have Can Can seats (right under the stage, in front of the stalls) which I cannot more highly recommend! A great production but drinks were expensive."
