Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The Sea Bass dish I had was excellent and my Vegan friend loved her Creamy Field Mushrooms & Butter Beans on Wildfarmed Sourdough Toast and was overjoyed by the different options she had to choose from."
  • "The Vegan Breakfast with a side of poached eggs (clearly, I'm not a vegan) were delicious. Everything was packed with flavour."
  • "Delicious food! Mussels especially. Chicken tacos were great - just a few tendon pieces in chicken tacos."
  • "Can we talk about the gorgeous food in this place. I still haven't tried a dish that was anything but excellent from brunch options to dinner."
  • "The house salad with roast chicken as absolutely amazing, a great combination of veg topped with sumptuous roast chicken."
  • "I had they're ribeye steak served with a bearnaise sauce and it was mouth watering."
  • "The food is great - really enjoyed the croquettes and the mussels."

Cons:

  • "One piece of chicken leg (more bones than the rest) 5 counted roasted potatoes and a pile of steamed veg to bulk up the plate and to top it up the Yorkshire was dense and raw."
  • "Genuinely terrible. Went for a Christmas Turkey dinner. Potatoes weren’t crispy, essentially raw."
  • "The chicken burger came quite burnt or fried in very old oil."
  • "Food is shameful, undercooked chicken, no seasoning AT ALL, not even salt and pepper."
  • "£14 for a cold eggs Benedict, £23 for a roast, £15 for cocktails. It’s really too much."
  • "Terrible food and over priced for the pleasure."
  • "The food is expensive and nothing special, surely not the level of many pubs in the same area."

Service

Pros:

  • "The rooftop is a lovely little area, staff are very friendly and welcoming!"
  • "The service was attentive but not obtrusive."
  • "I experienced first class service from our server, being polite, & friendly, without being overly so!"
  • "The best aspect was the service! We were served on the patio without having to wait and were looked after by Christina."
  • "The staff were fantastic, friendly helpful, they could not do more."
  • "Great service, Adam was particularly helpful and always with a smile!"
  • "Service was super friendly too."

Cons:

  • "The bar seemed to purposely delay drinks so they wouldn’t have to serve us enough to make the bottomless worth it."
  • "It was just slightly too loud and had to shout to get others to hear you."
  • "We were constantly forgotten by the wait staff."
  • "Avoid this place at all costs. Staff are clueless, food is bland and the prices are a disgrace."
  • "Seriously dreadful. Very poor service, no water given until asking several times."
  • "Very rude staff. They keep pushing you to pay."
  • "Bar staff members are useless, they doesn't know what they are doing."

Atmosphere

Pros:

  • "It's a really versatile space, nicely tucked away opposite the common with a great roof terrace."
  • "Just a very cool restaurant/ bar with so many elements. Beautiful terrace (always busy), not a bad roast... there are better but it is good!"
  • "The place is spacious and very good for families - we saw lots of buggies and also older children."
  • "Great fun! Lovely 'Clapham Style' crowd, a good giggle and well worth a visit."
  • "Really nice terrace, got a table on Saturday morning for brunch."
  • "Prices are good for London & its tastefully decorated!"
  • "Great location, lively atmosphere."

Cons:

  • "The seating area was across from the kitchen and really hot with the hot weather."
  • "The bar is very loud, which is fine, as it's a bar. However, we went to the restaurant to eat, and it was very difficult to hear each other even there."
  • "Come 9pm the place put the music extremely loud and turned it into a club vibe, even playing this in the restaurant area."
  • "Multiple dishes were cold and the atmosphere wasn’t good."
  • "It used to be good but been there 2 times after lockdown and so disappointed, not coming back."
  • "The terrace is amazing when it's not busy, otherwise it gets too crowded and noisy."
  • "Tainted by terrible service though. Partially due to being understaffed from the looks of it."

  • "Outrageously expensive for poor quality food, the final bill came to £160 for 4 of us (including a cocktail each)."
  • "The prices are completely ridiculous. £5.20 for a side of avocado which was half an avocado, sliced."
  • "£14 for a cold eggs Benedict, £23 for a roast, £15 for cocktails. It’s really too much."
  • "Charging £6 for a smoothie that comes in a bottle. Having a laugh."
