Food Quality

Pros:

  • "Every dish was a testament to the outstanding craftsmanship of the chefs, and every bite left us yearning for more."
  • "The lamb was so tender and soft when served."
  • "All dishes were prepared and cooked to perfection."
  • "The paneer and tandoori prawns for starters and the osso buco on the mains were excellent."
  • "The kebab platter was a star dish with the fish kebab so flavourful throughout and cooked just right."

Cons:

  • "Unfortunately mains were terrible and even desserts. The black koftas were slimy and bitter."
  • "The chicken tikka starter was very dry and fairly bland."
  • "The Kerala seabass was again nothing to really jump for joy about, this is a bland korma, just a bowl of coconut sauce."

Ambience and Decor

Pros:

  • "The ambiance of the place was equally enchanting, enhancing our overall dining experience."
  • "The interior boasts a beautifully renovated firehouse with warm ambiance and authentic Indian accents."
  • "The restaurant itself is very beautiful and was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience."
  • "The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is welcoming."

Cons:

  • "The music was a retro DJ type, complete clash with the elegant interiors."
  • "The only area of improvement is the bathroom - it is absolutely freezing in the women's toilet and is barely usable!"

Service

Pros:

  • "But what truly set the evening apart was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. Their attentive and gracious service ensured that we savored every moment."
  • "Staff were well trained and very nicely serve."
  • "Despite me making a huge mistake and making the booking for the wrong date, the restaurant changed our booking to today without any hassle."
  • "Service was excellent - the waiters knew every dish and explained what we were eating."

Cons:

  • "We had to wait over 20 minutes before we were given a table."
  • "Service was a little slow albeit friendly."
  • "BUT the service was nowhere near the quality that I would expect of a restaurant at this price point."
  • "The service received from the entire team was exceptional especially in particular Siddhi, she made the whole night, so polite, helpful & respectful."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "Price is high but it’s quality and location deserved it. Price to Value ratio is good."
  • "Value for money also spot on in my opinion, for the quality on offer."
  • "We didn’t order a la carte so couldn’t comment on the normal value of the menu but would snatch up the Time Out Deal while you can!"
  • "Fantastic food, great quality, great portions and good selection on menu. Simple and delicious combinations—authentic yet elevated."

Cons:

  • "This wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't that it's not the cheapest place you can visit."
  • "The wine list also has an insane markup, with some wines around £13 in Tesco but £58 at the restaurant."
  • "£36 for 2 princes of lamb rack is a bit too much."
  • "The only negative is price but we managed to get the best of the promotional 50% discount. Would recommend people to try at least once!"
