"Really liked their Five Beans dish, although I am not a vegetarian."
Cons:
"The chicken dinners consisted of a drumstick and a very small slice of breast, the beef consisted of 2 slices which were tough."
"Great service but three poor Sunday roasts served this evening. Beef was very fatty and chicken roast was dry."
"Was not impressed went out for a birthday meal with three other people. The chicken burger was pink inside and the fish sauce was disgusting."
"The chicken was literally 2 very skinny goujons that it seems were then sliced in half to make 4 very very small pieces of very overcooked chicken."
"Sadly the food was very unpleasant. Bland, basic and flavourless, two of us didn’t eat our meals as they were so unappetising."
"The beef was horrible and overcooked and not pink at all... I paid £16.00 for overcooked beef."
"Very disappointed with the food. The ham was awful."

"The service was abysmal."
"Staff were nice but young and inexperienced."
"The service was awful, the plates just plonked on the table."
"Really poor service, my pregnant wife wanted a soft drink, had issues with the app, landlord wasn’t interest and walked off to serve a table !! Just walked off and left her !!?"
"Awful service, reserved a table which was given away. Offered a free round of drinks which was refused when paying the bill by the manager."
Value for Money
Pros:
"Although the pricing of the ploughmans was acceptable at £10.95."
"Highly recommend! The Swan Inn is wonderful, absolutely lovely staff, a great selection of beers and ciders, excellent food (at very reasonable prices)."
"Fantastic food, had a fish finger door stopper sandwich and it was fab two big pieces of battered fish a great twist on a classic for £6.50."
"The food was good and reasonably priced. The battered fish was light and fresh and the roasts looked good."
"Good beer, good food, good location, good prices too."
"At £16.50 for a roast, it was more than I usually pay but I can honestly say it was the best roast dinner I've had in a long time, everything about it was perfect."
"Very nice Sunday lunch. Well cooked & tasty the gravy was really good & lovely Yorkshire pudding."
Cons:
"After a long wait hot dogs and burgers were available for the extortionate price of £8.50."
"Quite expensive for what it was."
"Food overpriced for what came out."
"Overall value for money I would not expect to pay £70 for 3 people only to go home feeling so un-sated."
"With the main meals at £16 each definitely not worth it."
"A lot of the other food on the menu seemed expensive."
"Expensive food and poor service."
Ambiance and Location
Pros:
"On a sunny day the outside seating area is fantastic with lots of seating options."
"You’ll feel in a movie, you’ll feel in a story, A countryside pub in all it’s own glory."
"Stunning location! We went on a quiet afternoon and had the outside space to ourselves."

"Lovely village pub on the main road between Bristol and Bath with a large garden and car park."
"A beautiful pub in the countryside. A very warm welcome from the manager Ian and staff very polite and helpful."
Cons:
"Terrible experience. Called up in advanced and told no need to book, walked an extra two miles to get there from our country walk. Arrived and it was busy with little seating so ended squashed in a corner."
"We were sat by the bar which when busy echoed people talking which made it really noisy."
"If you are outside, the road noise is really loud."
"The downside of the place really though is it's proximity to the treatment works, currently enjoying a refurb."
"Called in for a meal on way home from shopping in Bath at nearly 4 o'clock. Place was packed with screaming kids and very noisy."
"The pub dog kept jumping up at my friend."
"They have put a large marquee in the beer garden with air conditioning. But they haven't bothered to provide an accessible toilet!"
Family and Pet Friendliness
Pros:
"Me & my wife decided to go out for a walk with our dog and a friends dog we were dogsitting, and have said before about going in to the Swan inn at Swineford for lunch which we did on this day, the food was fantastic and the staff were so pleasant couldn’t fault it highly recommend."

"Really dog friendly too."
"Big thanks to the staff at The Swan.. We organised meeting old work colleagues with three toddlers and three babies.. The team reserved us a large area which was great.. Sunday roasts were lovely and staff really attentive.. Outside space was great for the toddlers.. Will come again."
"Ideal place to come in a big group and with kids."
"The outside area is great and playground for kids came really handy."
Cons:
"One of the children who wasn't anyone in our group fell and hurt her hand quite badly wish they put a softer surface under the monkey bars as the grass is very hard."
"Sunday lunch was disappointing and the child's meal was a smaller version of adult meal ...not easy for a four year old to handle..a grey mush posing as something sage flavoured, disgusting!!I shant hurry back."
"Chef could not put cheese on chips for the kids. Kids meals so small kids were hungry."
"All 7 of us were very disappointed with the food... Not an enjoyable lunch for £25 per person."
"Desserts also small and overpriced."
"We were the only people in the pub and yet tables were reserved for 8pm in the evening."
"Visited as part of private function, which ended up being shared with another private function."
