Shopping Centre Experience

Pros:

  • "The shopping centre itself is amazing, spacious with plenty of brands and food chains to choose from."
  • "Really good shopping centre with lots of shops and a food court. Really clean and tidy. Lots of bright airy space."
  • "Galleries is a one stop place for almost all your needs. Fashion stores, homeware stores, places to eat, pharmacy (boots), NHS - Broadmead medical centre and also a soft play arena."
  • "This shopping centre is my favourite place to go. I feel comfortable when I do any shopping there."
  • "Great family friendly shopping mall. Lots of big chain shops for families such as Boots, Waterstones, WHSmith, The Entertainer, Robert dyes, etc."
  • "Good shopping centre, not the best shops but covers all the basics. Such a shame it’s going to get knocked down and developed. Always very clean and looked after."
  • "Shopping centre full of shops with independent market sellers in the centre. Clean and spacious. High Street shops with random independents in what would be empty units in other places."
  • "Great variety of shops. Due to its location friends often are surprised that they forgot it existed but it's often my first stop in town."

Cons:

  • "Dated shopping centre. Some nice shops but mostly low quality shops with little stock."
  • "Depressing, with hardly any shops left. No competition with Cabot Circus and difficult to get to now, with the changes to the traffic system."
  • "The Galleries are dropping down compare previous years has lost attractive and christmassy mood."
  • "Becoming outdated and not many shops that get my attention and draw me back in which is a shame."
  • "The Galleries isn’t my favourite place to shop and the parking is expensive. There is a range of different shops but quite a few shops that sell low end, cheap quality products."
  • "This place is showing its decline. Lots of tat shops, a few eateries and otherwise nothing of note."
  • "Seems a little run down when compared to the other shops/malls nearby, there's a couple of nice unique shops and a huge Waterstones but a lot of empty shops and some very low end, tacky ones too."
  • "Lots of stores unfortunately closed at the moment so it’s getting less and less attractive the only reason I believe people still go to the galleries is probably because of Boots."

Parking

Pros:

  • "There is free parking in the town centre with a 2 hour limit, which I rarely use as I know I will be there for longer."
  • "The shopping center itself is good but has brilliant access to the city itself with cheap parking."
  • "Good Parking but the centre itself is a little bit tired looking never the less still some good shops here shame the food galleries gone."
  • "The galleries has many good sides to it, first is quite affordable car park right in the heart of Cabot Circus."

Cons:

  • "The parking is another story, we were from out of town visiting and parked and went on with our day only to find out later that the parking has closed and locked our cars in."
  • "When stuck outside of the car park, I called up and explained my friends live 2+ hours away, they refused, saying there was no one on site."
  • "The car park of this run down shopping centre is a joke. Extremely tight turns, curbed my freshly painted back wheel on the way in even though the front tyre was almost brushing the curb on the opposite front corner."
  • "The Galleries isn’t my favourite place to shop and the parking is expensive."

Food and Dining Options

Pros:

  • "There is a game shop inside ground floor with pin ball and all the old game consoles. One price for the whole day and you can go in and out as you please, kids loved it. Worth a visit."
  • "Went to Bristol Kitchen on level 2 for all day breakfast. Fast, hot and tasty. Best of all, everything is halal on the menu."
  • "We got here early and had breakfast in boswells which was good then went to the shoe shop and bought new shoes at a good price."
  • "Visited the Christmas market at the galleries and it is a lovely time if you have the cash to spend."

Cons:

  • "The Galleries has got an Amazing Array of Outlets... Great selection of Food outlets."
  • "A nice xmas market with a few rides and treats for the kids and a bar and food the adults. It would be good to see the market expanded with a bit more variety in the types of stalls they have."
  • "Spacious, lots of various shops, places within to eat. Argos, Very friendly & helpful staff, well they have always been friendly in Argos. Spacious social distances too, with anti virus hand gel for customers."
  • "It's a pretty nice place to go to for food. I saw they had a library of books too which is great."
