Facilities

Pros:

  • "Shower block is good, clean. Lots of hot water in the showers."
  • "The shower rooms were huge on their own, there was at least 8/9 just in the block we went in."

  • "Toilet blocks were spotlessly clean."
  • "Main site toilet facilities, best we have ever seen and used on a camp site."
  • "Wash rooms better than some 5 Star hotels we have stayed in."

Cons:

  • "We got pitch 86. Not a good pitch. We were next to the bins and recycling area."
  • "Toilets block was new but a lot smaller than last year wasn't a problem until it got very busy the second week but then toilet rolls, soap and hand towels wasn't being replaced for several days and not being cleaned."
  • "Great site but sadly lacking in disabled toilets and water points."
  • "Old toilet block, the cubicles have open windows which people walking around can see into."
  • "Other facilities are average and in the camping field toilets were poorly stocked at times during my stay."
  • "The old block has showers that spray the floor where you change, and leave massive puddles."
  • "The secondary (older) shower block is well past it's sell by date."

Staff and Service

Pros:

  • "Stewards handled it well and we're polite and helpful."

  • "The staff are very friendly and helpful, they are clearly happy in their work."
  • "All staff we met were so nice, can't do enough for you."
  • "Staff are really friendly and helpful."

Cons:

  • "He followed me out of the shop being abusive and went to the extraordinary length of waiting until he was away from the shop to start his barrage!"
  • "Wifi crap £5 a day is ok but all you get is internet interrupted!!! and a phone number to call that gives you an answering service!! no phone coverage at best 1 out of 10 calls get out the same for incoming calls."
  • "Only downside I prefer tents separate to caravans as they're not as sound proof. I was kept awake till midnight with loud voices from tent."
  • "She is basically calling us liars, and is an extremely rude and arrogant woman."
  • "After queuing for 25 minutes, we were told he'd run out of Pizzas!!"
  • "This site promises so much on site food outlets (Franchised) that are closed more than they are open."
  • "Rude and completely unhelpful."

  • "Ideal location for visiting the tourist attractions at Charmouth and Lyme Regis."
  • "Very accessible to the local beaches and tourist attractions."

Cons:

  • "Only slight let down nearest pub is a mile walk, doesn't sound far but after a day's trekking seems a lot further!"
  • "Quite isolated with no local amenities."
  • "No bus service is a pain, no pubs or shops in walking distance, main downside is traffic noise."
  • "It's a long walk to the bus stop if you have no transport."
  • "Only caution is the the bus stop is about 20 minutes away along a busy main road so be prepared to drive."
  • "It is much more than the quoted 600m to the bus stop! It's more like greater than 1.5km - certainly a good 30-40 min walk!"
  • "Unfortunately it rained for the first four days and had been raining for three days before we arrived so things were a bit muddy."

General Experience

Pros:

  • "Beautifully kept campsite."

  • "Beautiful site set within beautiful countryside."
  • "Spotlessly clean, maintained to perfection."

Cons:

  • "I would not go here if it was the only site open in a blizzard! I would rather camp on an Aldi car park on a council estate."
  • "The only downside was traffic noise behind us was very loud as we were in a tent, would stay again but would try and get a different pitch."
  • "Nice site, conveniently located but totally spoiled by the 11pm-7am lock in!!"
  • "The only negative was that the new toilet and washroom block is not yet built."
  • "Some didn't abide to the 5mph speed limit or follow the one way system."
  • "Rules for the main site seemed to be out the window with kids playing football with hard leather balls kicking it at caravans and cars."
  • "Only downfall.. the push button showers only stay on for 8 seconds before you have to press it again."
