Value for Money

Pros:

  • "It's a Wetherspoons so the prices offer fantastic value for money."
  • "Pint of nice beer costs 3 pounds, very big menu with dishes, burgers, plates and specials that vary depending on the day of week."
  • "All good, low prices. 1/2 pint craft beer around £1.20: other London pubs charge double."
  • "Nice place to go and have a few drinks and some grub without breaking the bank."
  • "The prices of the drinks were really reasonable, especially for London - in fact, probably cheaper than up north."
  • "Good pub. Great prices."
  • "Can't be bettered for the ££££."

Cons:

  • "Prices are getting too steep for it tbh. You expect little from a spoons. Basically all you need is cheap pints and warm food. Pints aren’t that cheap anymore and food is barely edible."
  • "The food is always horrible compared to all the other Wetherspoon pubs around and also more expensive."
  • "Cheap overall! Cute garden area. However the food quality is not great."

Staff and Service

Pros:

  • "As far as a Wetherpoons goes this is as good as it gets. Friendly staff and plenty of space inside."
  • "Staff behind the bar were all in training & the young girl who served us was excellent at her role. Really confident, really quick & professional."
  • "The staff are always really welcoming, friendly and helpful."
  • "Staff friendly and efficient."
  • "Customer service was above and beyond my aunt(who suffers from seizures) ended up very unwell in the pub a few weeks ago and was looked after amazingly by a staff member."
  • "Thankfully awesome bartender Debbie sorted us out."
  • "Staff were very accommodating and helpful.. didnt have to wait long for food at all."

Cons:

  • "The staff need training."
  • "She put the cup down without so much as a smile or greeting, almost felt like it was an insult me being there."
  • "Service can be inconsistent."
  • "The service here was disgraceful... I ordered food with five other people, six orders all together. Only five orders had been sent to the table but the waitresses claimed to have sent all six orders."
  • "Their security team on a Saturday night extremely rude and uncalled for, acting like they own the place and constantly giving these annoyed look."
  • "Not only do you get hounded 24/7 by the intimidating and rude waiters, but we were also subject to sickening discrimination by them!"
  • "The staff are uninterested when you do see them but are mostly non existent!"

Food and Drink Quality

Pros:

  • "The Guinness was excellent."
  • "The food is cheap of course and mainly old classics from lasagne to pies and chips."
  • "Fish Friday anyone? I think they do this meal very well and good value."
  • "The food, drinks and service were fabulous."
  • "The food and drink are great value for money."
  • "Always a delightful time when visiting here, and on this occasion 'Curry Club Thursday's', the Chicken Tikka Masalla went down an absolute treat."
  • "Food excellent, promptly delivered."

Cons:

  • "The tables carpet chairs well everything looks and is dirty and sticky, carpets and upholstery on the chairs dirty and in need of replacing/recovering."
  • "The Fish and chips is overcooked dark brown to crispy and rubbery."
  • "But today at Mossy Well I laughed at the burnt offering I was given."
  • "Drinks are cheap and the meal deals are worth having a look at. Good value for money but hit and miss on the quality of food."
  • "The chicken was undercooked with blood inside."
  • "Everything else on the plate was cold and the bacon was burnt, the eggs eventually turned up with shells too!"
  • "The chips and peas weren’t cooked properly and they were cold. The steak was VERY fatty."

  • "Awesome interior design. Worth a visit just to see it. Multilevel over 300 tables."
  • "It's a really nice building, particularly the upstairs section which is bright and airy."

Cons:

  • "Unfortunately the women's toilets where a mess, three out of order cubicles, three cubicles with water and tissue filled to the brim."
  • "Several staff hanging around talking and swearing loudly, leaving tables uncleaned and entirely unaware of surroundings."
  • "Very large inside, not a very nice smell."
  • "One thing I always notice is the condiment bottles always have dried up bits on them which looks grim."
