Cons:

  • "It was embarrassing to be moved, holding our plates of sub average food, through the pub."
  • "crab salad meat placed in a plastic shell and not very much for £16"
  • "whatever you do don’t order the Welsh Lamb Cawl"
  • "A nice enough pub but the ‘catch of the day’ was definitely not caught that day. The dover sole was so far from fresh that we had to order something else."
  • "Then when we started eating all 3 steaks were unedable and full of fat."
  • "The salt and pepper Squid was clearly cook from frozen pre-prepared stuff which is disappointing somewhere so close to the sea."

  • "The staff were a little too preoccupied to serve for the first couple of minutes but the waitress who brought our food was lovely."
  • "The waitress was not as polite as I'm used to (arguing with one of my party about why she wouldn't have said the meal name she thought she heard because they don't serve it there - what was the point in proving herself right?) but it was fine."

  • "Great beer garden. Inside was really dark."
  • "You know it's not a good place when staff don't even ask how your meal was."
  • "The following night (Friday) it was a completely different atmosphere, very noisy and cramped inside for a comfortable dining experience, so we had a drink and ate elsewhere."
  • "Unfortunately a guy with just a drink on the table next to us decided to roll up a cigarette whilst we were eating."
