  • "The team there were extremely welcoming from the moment we stepped in the door."
  • "Staff very friendly abd helpful."
  • "The staff, of course, were fantastic as always, and we had super friendly five star service."

  • "Waitress very pleasant but perhaps a bit overly attentive clearing table when people still eating."
  • "Unfortunately the 2 stars are for Great decor and service food choice not great cant change meats for the set meals so if you don't like the selected meat with there dish thats it you have to move on."
  • "Went for a birthday lunch with my daughter , starters all had the same sauce on them, then the angry chef came out again stating he didn't make any money on the drinks but took the small wine off, will never return they have no customer focus at all!!!"

Food Quality and Taste

Pros:

  • "All of the dishes we had were very good and packed with flavour."

  • "Hands down the best meal on this 2 week trip to Scotland."
  • "This Indian has to be one of the best I have ever been too."
  • "Very good. Set type menu where you are given starter after starter which you cant choose."
  • "Delicious ~! We tried their lunch taster menu and wow, what a fun lunch time experience."
  • "Absolutely fantastic! Staff were friendly and explained how everything worked as it was our first time there, food was excellent with a wide variety including vegetarian and gluten free."

Cons:

  • "The food was all too spicy for me, but, of course, that's a matter of personal preference."
  • "There was an unusual, very faint but slightly unpleasant flavour that seemed to underpin many dishes."
  • "Very close to a five star but my chicken tikka dish wasn't quite to my liking."
  • "Not given a la Carte option so had taster menu. If you like a series of fried blobs with various sauces out of a bottle squiggled on it it this is for you. It was not for me."
  • "We had the taster menu, great atmosphere the staff explained everything that was on the menu. It ran like clockwork once we finished one course we didn't have to wait long for the next course."
  • "Went last week and did the 10 course starter thing. It was terrible, curry sauce on a ball of some meat substance."
  • "Just finished our meal at Dhoom. Had a couple of different cocktails which were excellent! The food is on another level! Absolutely faultless! Portion sizes were perfect!"
  • "Food tasted nice and staff very friendly with great service. Disappointed I was driving as great choice of draught beers to accompany meal."

Ambience and Decor

Pros:

  • "There is one section where the seats are actually swings suspended by ropes from the ceiling."
  • "The placed looks great, very quirky and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable."
  • "Restaurant is bright, spacious and modern."
  • "Great decor with efficient staff. Taster menu available with little bites of diferent starters."
  • "Decor was really good. Liked the tuk tuks at the back of the restaurant that couples could sit and dine in."
  • "This is a unique dining experience with swings at the tables, tuk tuk booths, beautiful decor and ambience."
  • "What a wee gem of a place! Cool doesn’t even come close, novel decor and atmosphere is brilliant."
  • "Very good. Was set dinner menu of 5 starters, brought to your table one at a time followed by your choice of main from 6 or 7 dishes, served with rice and bread (plus chips). Busy for a Monday as doing Eat out to Help Out, due to Covid-19, so was excellent value at under a tenner a head! Lovely setting and nice atmosphere, with different size tables, a couple of swing seats and little booths. Staff were great. Would go again."

Cons:

  • "It is obviously very popular and so there's a lot of conversational noise - don't go expecting a quiet romantic evening."
  • "Nice place very cute love the whole Indian vibes food was decent staff is very friendly parking is good too will definitely go again just 1 thing I found annoying that some staff were staring like I want to be left alone and let me enjoy my food I don't like someone constantly asking me or keep looking at me it's very annoying apart from that it's great."
  • "Bang in the centre town but missed this place immeditaly due to steamed up the windows were ( justifiably due to how busy it was) On arrival we were quickly greeted and offered whether or not we fancied the swing or the table ...we went for the swing. Which was comfy and cute! The menus were explained and we were advised this month's offering was the 'dehli' taster. This menu changes every 6 weeks ( I think!)"
  • "I always wanted to go in as there’s tables with swings and it just looks so cool!"
