Pros:

  • "My friends and I went for an afternoon tea, it was delicious, fresh and filling."

Cons:

  • "Only criticism would be there was a lot of 'sweet,' as opposed to savoury."
  • "Service was not up to expectation. Once afternoon tea was served we were left and only interacted with when one of my friends questioned things."

Service

Pros:

  • "Service was excellent but probably because the restaurant was very quiet when we went at 4pm."
  • "The staff were excellent very polite and made a great effort to make sure you are happy."
  • "Our server Samuel was very attentive, as were all the other staff."

Cons:

  • "The server was a bit all over the place with taking our order but the restaurant manager was extremely nice."
  • "The only criticism was the rather over zealous approach to the taking of orders and requesting payment of the Bill."
  • "The service was very poor. We chose the bottomless option but had to constantly ask for drinks and were left waiting."
  • "The staff on the other hand, not very helpful, come across very snobby."

Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The food was cooked perfectly and had excellent presentation when brought out."
  • "Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented."
  • "The food was lovely and so was the atmosphere of the restaurant and its location."
  • "The menu features a variety of Mediterranean dishes. We choose the panko chicken breast and salmon. Both dishes were delicious."
  • "Food was really good and the cocktails just perfect."

Cons:

  • "My only issue was that I found the food to be a bit on the bland side for my palette."
  • "Only complaint would be that it was not seasoned well. Kind of bland."
  • "We ordered the bread basket for a starter and were both very pleasantly surprised, the quality for the price was amazing but it was the best bread basket we had ever had."
  • "The only sad part was my husband and I fell very ill that night and was very sick for the next three days and the only thing we could think of was the oysters as everything else we ate was cooked."
  • "Dessert was the only disappointment as the ice cream didn't come out with it."
  • "The lobster was a disgrace. It seems as though the chefs had removed the majority of the meat from the carcass and topped it up with obscene amounts of cheese."
  • "The sea bass was extremely dry and lacked flavour."
  • "The calamari was also mediocre, the coating that they use is heavy and completely unauthentic."

Ambience

Pros:

  • "A beautiful restaurant located canal side outside the mailbox."
  • "The decor is beautiful. A combination of French modern design which feels glamorous and elegant."
  • "It's stunning decor & gorgeous food really made my evening!"
  • "The atmosphere is lovely, the food was amazing."
  • "Enjoyed a wonderful meal here for a girls night out. 8 of us ate at 4.30pm, the restaurant was quiet, the staff were incredible."

Cons:

  • "The moment we walked in we felt uncomfortable. The people that were working here at the time of our visit were incredibly rude and unprofessional."
  • "The staff are very good and attentive. Drink prices are very top end but the selection is good."
  • "We were seated outside because of the restrictions, but they had outdoor heating and provided blankets for the guests which was a lovely touch."
  • "The main meal tasted great but was a bit small for the price, everything else was absolutely awful, the service was terrible and waiters took forever to arrive."
