"The Wellgate has a lift to all floors and an onsite chargeable carpark."
"It is clean, accessible and easy to navigate, with some unique features such as the wellgate clock and reading area."
Cons:
"The ticket machines for parking need updating to accept card payments also."
"Car park is borderline acceptable poorly maintained lighting in parking area is not the best spaces are small and tight to get in and out of your car if others parked either side of you."
"Lift is always full, ramp doesn't go down to ground floor, and top escalator has been off for weeks."
"Only one (small) lift in the centre over three floors that able bodied people seem to abuse even though there is ample escalators available."
"It's an okay shopping centre, only marked 3 stars because their lift access is shocking, it's quite small, always waiting a while if it is full or there is one pram in or a wheelchair in it's not easy getting another wheelchair in or another pram, bigger lift needed as not everyone can attempt the ramp that they have as the ramp doesnt go down to level 1."
"Only has one small lift for prams buggies wheelchairs, long wait at times."
"Narrow, endless circular route up to parking levels."
Shopping Experience
Pros:
"A bit lower key than the Overgate just down the road. Good for bargains as it contains a B&M, Home Bargains, Iceland, The Works, and a BHF furniture shop."
"Overall; well worth a visit."
"well if you have a wander around the shops that are in the wellgate you can more or less find the things that you need and also pick things up that you didn't know that you needed these shops are really useful."
"One of the shopping centers, located at the heart of Dundee. Not a busy one, but the centre hosts some of the popular super shops like Iceland, Poundland, Home Bargain, and BM Bargain."
"Good variety of cheap shops. Great for picking up essentials at a fair price."
"A really great centre if you are looking for those fabulous bargains."
"Wellgate has Gym Facility and Library facility...There are Charity Shops inside...you can get Winter clothes and other items at less price."
Cons:
"Very tired looking, many shops have left over the years, just a few discount shops left."
"Unfortunately the Wellgate is now greatly let down by a poor selection of stores and customers as well as a poor selection of surrounding stores."
"This place has gone downhill massively and I mean massively my partner came with me from England and to tell her that this was the main shopping centre at one time was embarrassing lucky to get one star."
"It's sad, but the Wellgate is dying on its feet. There's never a day that all of the escalators work. And a large number of the units are empty."
"It's seen better days and there seems to be very few shops and business actually open in that place."
"Old, outdated. Has more closed stores than open."
"Place is so run down, Walking past empty shop after empty shop."
