Customer Service and Repairs
Pros:
- "my experiences were extremely pleasant and helpful."
- "This time I had video of the fault occurring... it was inspected, repairs carried out and returned within 48 hours."
- "I was shown around the machine and their findings explained to me with a caveat that if I had further problems do not hesitate to get in touch."
- "Went in a rush to get a chain for my chain saw and the staff was super polite and helpful even when it passed closing time."
Cons:
- "finding the staff less than helpful, dismissive and the costs expensive."
- "Sent an email about getting my petrol strimmer serviced. No reply for a few days so tried calling several times but nobody ever picked up the phone."
- "nothing but poor service everytime I had to deal with them regarding my robotic mower...poor service with no help."
- "Very poor after sales. Wrongly diagnosed issue I had with chain saw and never asked me what I thought was the issue!"
Restaurant/Cafe Experience
Pros:
- "Visited here as a party of 7. Food nice enough and prices competitive."
- "The coffee is good and reasonably priced, and there is always a nice display of cakes and scones."
- "Lunch was really lovely. Busy wee place. Lovey cakes. They are BIG! Great choice."
- "Great restaurant facilities, not the cheapest, but BOY, you get a plateful!!"
Cons:
- "The food was expensive for what it was, and kids choices very limited if you're looking for healthy options."
- "£8.50 for a tuna melt toastie: two slices of white bread with tuna and cheese, served with a dollop of very mayonnaise-heavy coleslaw."
- "Do not eat in this place. The macaroni was awful, and tasted like it was a few days old but the wedges were the worst."
- "Arrived at 15:00 to be told/ growled at that there was no more pancake “mix” and instead offered a small selection of cakes."
Accessibility and Facilities
Pros:
- "The outdoor area has a wide variety of plants, pots and equipment. Inside has a large variety of different items."
- "Great cafe on site with a good choice of light food options, the cakes looked amazing but was already full from a delicious panini!"
- "There is a lift for disabled access to the upper floor and restaurant which is bright and airy, the food is excellent and good value."
Cons:
- "But if you're a wheelchair user, definitely think twice. The disabled parking is the same size as the regular spots just located closer to entrance!"
- "Four stars because the disabled spaces are the wrong size, they are ordinary spaces marked with orange paint with no hatching or anything."
Product Selection and Pricing
Pros:
- "A huge selection of garden and outdoor stuff."
- "A traditional garden centre which, is offering a huge variety of products whatever your budget."
- "Really good selection of plants which were in good condition. Competitively priced too, some were much cheaper than the nearby Homebase."
Cons:
- "The prices are extraordinary hiked up though, went on the 3rd of may after a year and it reminded me why I stopped going...overpriced."
- "Very limited menu. Unless you like the soup or hot plate special then you're out of luck."
- "Overpriced for timing belt for ride on mower. Last year about £30 this year £66, when asked about price hike, Brexit was to blame."
