  • "You can do everything from Skiing, Snowboarding and Sledging to having Snowball fights and even go swimming if you so wish!"

Cons:

  • "The site however was run down, the slope was very small and really busy at points."
  • "Tobogganing might be dangerous at the end of the slope."
  • "The carousel has a sign next to it saying height restriction and all three of my children were too tall to ride."
  • "Waste of time. Kids wanted to enjoy the snow for the entire 90 minutes not to see a short show and some animals."
  • "The panto was a bit intense and a bit long for the younger ones and they possibly could do with a couple more rides in the winter village at the end."

Instructors and Staff

Pros:

  • "The instructors were so kind, knowledgeable and very encouraging."
  • "Instructor Paul was excellent teaching my daughter level 3 snowboarding and got her back up to speed from the top in a 2 hour session."
  • "The first aider was amazing and all staff really well trained and so caring."
  • "The ski instructor was extremely patient and very supportive and encouraging."
  • "The instructors are superb, Matt in this case was our snowboard instructor and had the whole group doing solo runs by the end of the session."
  • "Our ski instructor Tom was brilliant. He was totally professional, highly safety conscious, helped everyone in the group throughout and, the cherry on the cake, was a right laugh too."
  • "James the Instructor was excellent and led the small group through the basics, giving good 1-to-1 time to make sure everyone understood what they had to do."

Cons:

  • "Avoid their ski instructor courses! They cancelled my level 1 course because the course wasn’t full."
  • "They Cancelled my level 1 ski instructor course and I lost over £300 Avoid."
  • "However, the shoes staff not always great... they gave me a very disrespectful attitude."
  • "When we did get out on the slope, the instructor gave no assistance whatsoever to the kids just told them what to do, but didn't give any specific advice or tell them what to adjust etc."
  • "One of the instructors had said to her 'if you keep falling like that you are gonna have to get off' in a bit of a aggressive voice."
  • "I also found the staff and the manager very rude, I would not recommend this place at all to anybody."
  • "Terrible organisation. Uncooked food in the restaurant with lots of staff but none who actually want to take your order or bring your bill."

Facilities and Pricing

Pros:

  • "Parking was reasonable."

  • "The venue is always clean and tidy."

Cons:

  • "Absolutely insane prices. One 3 hour lesson is over £100."
  • "Bit tricky on purchasing the tickets as the child ticket costs double the adult one and teenagers until 16 years has to pay as a child not as an adult."
  • "However wasn’t clear we needed to book ice skating ring at extra cost."
  • "There is a surprise at the entrance - a £2.50 car park fee."
  • "The lockers only taking coins and being non-refundable is a joke though, our stuff had to be left unlocked as we ran out of 20ps."
  • "To use the lockers cost £0.20 again Castleford & Manchester are free."
  • "The facilities are great but the changing rooms and toilets could do with a bit of updating."
