Product Selection and Quality
Pros:
"Great selection in all departments: pond fish, marine and tropicle as well as fresh water fish, tanks, live plants, RO water, ornaments, wood and rock, filters, food dry and live, water test kits, medication, lighting, ponds, pond plants pond equipment and a lovely selection of information books."
"They only deal in aquatics and there is always a great selection of livestock, plants and accessories."
"They have many different coldwater species for sale such as koi, goldfish, starlets, sturgeon, tench rudd etc."
"Love this place. It has nice selection of cichlids and even a sub selector of Apistogramas."
"The fish all look healthy and you rarely see a dead one which is impressive."
"Fantastic selection of fishes specially many oddballs and rarities."
"Something for everyone from your bread & butter fishes for standard community aquariums right up to rare Pims, tetras, big choice of L numbers plus super rare oddities you'll struggle to find elsewhere."
Cons:
"Their plant area looks like they are hopefully renovating it, but hardly anything outside, then I saw many dead ones which explained that."
"Fish are very expensive."
"The marine section is shockingly terrible, tanks filthy, fish not looking happy at all."
"They have a nice collection of fish but they are kept in the worst conditions."
"This place is looking very tired and run down now."
"Huge decline in standard of animal welfare. Goldfish looked starving pressed up to tank for food. Dead fish in tropical section."
"The only downside is that there is a huge outdoor area that is just left, there’s dead plants that have obviously been left there for months and it just makes the place feel neglected and run down."
Price and Value
Pros:
"However Maidenhead aquatic is only two minutes from this place and they are lot cheaper for the fish. Sometimes as much as up to 40%."
"Prices are reasonable."
"Bought loads of pond plants and lilies and a pond net. Very reasonable prices."
"Good prices, I've bought most of my fish and shrimp here."
"One of the best garden centres in the area, cheaper than all competitors locally. Huge selection of live fish and aquariums."
"Buying a pond filter. I looked up the price on the internet. It was £50 less on the internet. They quickly checked it out then matched it as they claim they will."
"Wide range of goods for indoor tanks and outdoor ponds. Very knowledgeable staff. They're as good as their word about matching prices online."
Cons:
"needed a part for my filter so phoned up and was told they had these in stock. drove 50 miles to get there only to be told they didnt have the part i needed."
"Some of the fish are a little overpriced and the R/O water is far too expensive much cheaper elsewhere."
"Had great selection of fish but a little on the expensive side charged more than quoted on the phone."
"Good store but they were selling 5 Otto's for £20. Maidenhead aquatics, 5 minutes away was selling same 5 Otto's for £10 and 11 for £20. Half the price"
"API master test kit for £44 really? You get it for around £22-23 on any online aquatics stores."
"Bit expensive. £6 for tadpole food?"
"Purchased fish for pond explained that half of the last purchase had died, no interest at all."

"went there to refill my co2 canister, paid £34 for it only to back home with empty co2 bottle."
"After the first night I go to check on them and there’s 2 penguin tetras dead, with literal chunks taken out of them."
"Waited half an hour to be seen and then I was referred to Amazon for the parts."
"Refused to price match despite advertising everywhere that they price match all products!!!"
