Ambiance and Decor

Pros:

  • "The decoration creates an amazing vibe and atmosphere, with soft colours and lots of plants."
  • "Decor is lovely and refreshing. Go checkout the food wall on the left."
  • "The atmosphere was fun and the music was great."

Cons:

  • "It was loud and repetitive. I kept thinking how annoying it must be for the chefs and the kitchen to have this loud 'party' style music all day and/or evening."
  • "Tables are too small for multiple dishes and drinks, but we make it work somehow."

Service

Pros:

  • "Our waiter did a great job throughout the evening. He and the supervisor made it even possible for us to have some postres outside."
  • "Service was great, food arrived promptly at the table."
  • "The service was great - very sweet, very funny - and the food!!! 5/5🌟!!"

Cons:

  • "Unfortunately, the service was a bit unprofessional and that's what makes me rate them 3 stars only."
  • "The staff were unfriendly, disorganised and given that we were there for what was probably 3-4 hours, no one came to ask if we wanted more drinks etc."
  • "The service was very poor. They completely forgot our orders multiple times and left us waiting."

Food Quality

Pros:

  • "We really enjoyed our truffle pizza, the halloumi starter as well as the chicken croquettes."
  • "The desserts were divine and the drinks were good."
  • "The food was lovely, so flavourful. The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful, calm, serene."

Cons:

  • "The food which arrived was pretty good, although having been told there were no poached eggs left, but we could have scrambled or fried…"
  • "The food is lovely, so flavourful. However, the staff are a bit hit and miss, they didn't know answers to any of our questions."
  • "Sadly very disappointed with this place, mainly due to the poor quality of the food."

Price and Value

Pros:

  • "The prices are a little too high, you definitely pay for the cool interior and vibe as well."
  • "The food was stunning, both in terms of presentation and quality."

Cons:

  • "The reason why this is a 3-star is simply down to price point, this is a severely overpriced offering basic breakfast items in a ‘elevated’ brunch state, £18-20 for a main, £4 for a coffee."
  • "Service was slow and staff were inattentive. Considering it wasn't very busy, took a long time to take our order and they didn't check up on us, or seem bothered about taking orders for more drinks."
  • "The food is good, but they won’t let you sit outside. I’ve been three times and asked to sit outside. The answer is always ‘we don’t have enough staff’. I think what they mean is we are too lazy to wait on you out there."

Location and Accessibility

Pros:

  • "Cool Australian restaurant looking over the canal next to Paddington Station."
  • "A lovely brunch/lunch/bar with beautiful deco inside and outside, located on the canal opposite Paddington station."
  • "A beautiful cafe in a great location. Brunch was absolutely delicious, shakshuka was the best I’ve tried."

Cons:

  • "The staff were friendly but seemed lacking and the hot beverages were poor."
  • "They had other tables that were further out, I think ours was literally the worst. Of course it was also super loud because we had big tables of bottomless brunchers behind us."
  • "We waited for 10 minutes to be seated at our table which we had reserved. The staff pretty much ignored us while we waited till I literally stood in the path of a server so we could get to our table."
