Food Quality

Pros:

• "Ordered our drinks before we sat down but what was disappointing was the Sunday carvery. The meat was good but the cauliflower cheese was a bit cold and the leeks had dirt inside them and not been washed properly."

• "We went for a pre booked Christmas lunch the meal to be 12.00 lunchtime but with the other customers seated we waited and waited and waited....then at 12.45 the starters were served ...then we waited and waited and an HOUR later at 13.45 the Christmas lunch finally came .....tasty enough, but NO veg. of any description fed up we started and three quarters through the meal we asked a rare member of staff for the veg that everyone else was being served and along they came ...but then we asked again for some cranberry sauce which followed eventually which we ate on nearly empty plates. by this time the table of four people next to us were really fed up as they got identical treatment as us, but they got up and left. we thought another long wait for our xmas pudding would be an arduous long drag pending as we had been there Two hours and had only two of the three pre paid courses, so we waited determined not to let this spoil our day. NOT good enough Heathcote in for a pre booked xmas lunch that we ordered 6 weeks ago. the staff were constantly apologising for which they knew was upsetting customers what else could they do as they were front line ....so obviously something went wrong there and needs to get urgently sorted. we will not go there again, this was our first xmas lunch there and THEY ruined it."
