Location & Environment
Pros:
"In the heart of the New Forest on a cricket-pitch of a field with excellent drainage... surrounded by beautiful forest and open land and deer."
"The woods around here are beautiful and there are loads of good paths that can be ridden or cycled on."

"Beautiful location."
"The site is very quiet, short walk into the new forest."
Cons:
"Potholes at entrance really bad!"
"This was our second time of visiting as we like the location as a few minutes walk and you're in the forest, and lovely walks with the dogs, but found the site very wet and muddy."
"A pity the site doesn't have just a basic shop for bread & milk, eggs bacon."
"No on site shop though."
"Tent has been repeatedly hit by frisbees / balls."
"Over crowded, with noise up to midnight and beyond. Forget about sleeping."
"Stayed July 2022 over new forest show period. Very busy very noisy very dusty and almost confined to camp as the show and traffic was all through the access to forest best to avoid that period."
Staff & Management

"Staff were pleasant, efficient and accommodating."
Cons:
"Upon pulling up and getting out of our van we met two members of staff, one of which accused us of not being able to read the sign... and of trying to get away without paying!"
"Despite having paid for an extra car to be allowed on site, myself and my friends were approached by a rude member of staff late in the evening and asked to move one of the vehicles off of our pitch."
"Perfect location but very poor customer relations."
"I've never been greeted with such hostility."
"Awful experience. The campsite itself is lovely but the staff are arrogant and rude and speak down to you."
"The treatment from staff is appalling."
"Our experience was completely ruined by the attitude of the wardens on reception."
Facilities & Amenities
Pros:
"Very nice site, clean wash block, all fully tiled with hand driers & hair driers."
"The amenities are cleaned very frequently and were spotless."
"Facilities good cleaned daily site was tidy and clean."
"Both toilet/shower block and another toilet block were modern, immaculately clean and well maintained."
"Clean facilities with plenty of hot water for washing up."
"Good toilet / showers / washing up area."
"Facilities are relatively new and well maintained."
Cons:
"The biggest disappointment this year has been the shower block... The block was a complete mess, hair in sinks, toilet paper everywhere, dirty floor and showers."
"Not enough showers for the size of the campsite. Only cleaned once a day and could do with a quick clean at the end of the day."
"Certainly not as clean in the shower block and overflowing site bins are something I don't want to see."
"Really poor facilities for women? Male toilets are much closer and I was told they're clean, unlike the females!"
"For such a big campsite there should be more showers."
"The showers are like hoses in the wall."
"The showers do need proper shower heads."
Wildlife & Nature Experience
Pros:
"We sat there and seen lots of wildlife in the evening including deer, bats and birds including a goshawk!"
"The deer come through the camping field and can wake you up at night when they are eating outside your tent but that is the charm."
"A deer herd often come into the field next to site at night which is just magical to see."
"During the night deer roam around which is nice to see if you're a late nighter or early riser."
"Watching the deer was mesmerising but slightly alarming to be met by a herd of them on a middle of the night toilet visit!"
"We usually see herds of deer in the surrounding fields."
"Seeing the deer in the middle of the field is really special, and the no bbqs after 9pm makes total sense as the deer come so close they could easily knock it over causing disaster."
Cons:
"Gorgeous campground inside the New Forest you do have to clear the wild animal poop from your pitch but it's shower and bath facilities are lovely."
"No cons mentioned regarding wildlife & environment."
