Attractions and Activities
Pros:
"This works well for younger LEGO fans (between 3 & 8) as it is all concentrated within a small area and they can see everything they can do."
"Very big and spacious inside, lots to see and do!"
"The VR attraction was amazing felt like your actually on a roller-coaster."
"The interactive aspects, such as lights, sound effects, and moving parts, further elevate the experience and immerse visitors in this captivating display."
"These attractions allow you to be a part of the action-packed LEGO world, leaving you with a sense of exhilaration and accomplishment."
"There's 2 indoor rides, miniland, Ninjago soft play, 4D cinema, make your own car and lots more creative things that older children would enjoy."
"The kids loved the Ninjago temple and racing cars VR as well as the building stations."
Cons:
"This place is literally falling apart. Nothing new, so outdated and over the years it's gradually getting worse!"
"Some rides do not work, and they have changed the electric car ride to a cosy coup one where you have to push your kids around by yourself."
"The rides were great and perfect for young children. I'd have gone on again but the queues were quite long."
"Only down side to the day was the queuing. We pre-booked our tickets thinking it would save us some time at the desk. There was one person on the desk and the queues were out the door."
"Overall it was a rather underwhelming experience, it was a lot smaller than it use to be."
"However everything is starting to look a bit tired, eg where you build a tower and press the button to vibrate it doesn't work, paint work/vinyl peeling all over the place."
"The ride with laser guns which was a little underwhelming."
Value and Pricing
Pros:
"Get a discounted ticket for cereal or drinks pack to make it good value."
"Food deals for the kids were decently priced."
"A nice day out with the Kellogg's/Cadbury discount!!!"
"It’s pretty well priced for its convenience."
"The children's meal deal was surprisingly good value."
"Get a toddler and adult ticket for £15. Bargain."
"The shop has some very rare and hard to find LEGO sets, and the prices aren't bad at all."
Cons:
"Oh just a tip, I'd bring a picnic next time as it was £13 for 3 drinks."
"LEGO really needs to overhaul the entire Discovery Centre, as it is dated, in need of renovation and boring for kids over the age of five."
"Felt ripped off at £80 for a family."
"Well over priced at £21.95 per adult x 2 and £17.50 for our 5 year old Granddaughter, with only 2 hours in there for the cost."
"Highly overpriced (particularly for the adults) considering what you are able to do."
"The cost of the Lego bricks in the shop is more expensive the gold bricks. You need a mortgage for shopping here."
"For the expense of £60 for 1 adult and 2 children to spend 2 hours it's not worth it."
Facilities and Cleanliness
Pros:
"Cafe well stocked and clean."
"There is a fantastic baby corner where you can warm the milk or food jar."
"Toilets are really clean and smell nice which is a bonus."
"The toilets were very clean and colour co-ordinated."
"The staff throughout the attraction were awesome. Really friendly and good at engaging visitors (even though we were all adults!)"
"The staff were all really friendly and approachable and answered any questions."
"All the staff were very helpful and I think it helped that it was a nice day so some people didn't want to spend it indoors and it was on a weekday!!"
Cons:
"Visited the toilets and they weren't in a good way."
"The seating area outside the cafe in the main building was extremely dirty, tables covered in food as well as the floors underneath."
"The cafe didn't have much choice and was expensive too."
"Toilets were filthy and broken seats on 3 of 4 cubicles."
"The place is small."
"The gents urinals were almost overflowing."
"The toilets weren’t checked, as a lot had no toilet roll or soap in the dispensers."
Staff and Customer Service
Pros:
"Staff were fun and friendly, and showed us round the different activities available as it was our first time visiting."
"The staff were great, definitely knew how to switch their customer service hats to adults rather than children."
"All the staff members are absolutely lovely and kind and welcoming and great to hang out with."
"Staff are great, very energetic and right positivity for the 'Lego Experience'."
"The staff are incredibly friendly and really take part with the kids."
"Staff were very friendly and engaging with my 6 year old son."
"The staff were lovely and turned the sound down so my boy could enjoy the screening."
Cons:
"Horrible experience, staff completely not trained to deal with neurodiverse children."
"Really poor customer service."
"The staff were very hit and miss depending on who you spoke to."
"Most staff seemed to be going through the motions and looked bored."
"The staff member on that ride couldn't have been less enthusiastic which didn't help our overall experience."
"Staff not at all customer focussed."
"Would have been fun but I heard a female manager start speaking rudely to their staff when the tills were down."
