  • "Food was great. (Duo of lamb)"

Cons:

  • "Overpriced and overrated. We popped in on the off chance for a family meal, and have to say I'm not impartial to spending good money for good food, but the food was standard pub food, with smaller portions but at restaurant prices."
  • "Food not so good - for the meat eaters in the group found their steaks to be on the tough side with cooked vegetables dry and flavourless unfortunately."
  • "When I could not eat my meal and complained about my food there was no response from the waitress, or indeed the chef."
  • "Staff Lovely, steak was not work 23 pound as it just com with a small bowl of chips, bit of garnish and the steak, no other sides with it all so very expensive for just that."
  • "The cheese on the Hunters Chicken was that sliced cheese that you get out of a packet."
  • "The meals were pretty pricey for what you got, the creme brulee was a bit mushy and not fluffy."
  • "The steak I had was tough as old boots, the pork belly daft the wife had ordered, well !! a good vet would have got it grunting again."

  • "The atmosphere of the pub feels so homely."

Cons:

  • "This is one of those pubs that has a 'manager' and not a 'landlord'."
  • "Fairly average food was ok but certainly not prepared by a chef place lacks atmosphere and the girl serving seems to have found it difficult to smile."
  • "Freezing cold inside the pub."
  • "Only negative was outside was inundated with wasps so we didn't stay for a second drink."
  • "Does not have the atmosphere of 'a local' - this pub's personality is not the people - it's 'designed' and in the decor."
  • "Went on a warm Friday evening, and for that reason thought it would be buzzing. Sadly not, no atmosphere whatsoever."
  • "The outside seating at the front is a little noisy as it's on a busy intersection and there is a high volume of traffic."
