Appointment System

Pros:

  • "The doctors, pharmacist, reception, office staff all contact you directly if needed and they are quick to try and sort out any issues."
  • "Thank you for your efforts."

Cons:

  • "Never any appointments available, even for babies which in my opinion should be given priority."
  • "You can never see the doctor. The phone registration system deteriorates from waiting one hour to now becomes unable to get anyone answered."
  • "Even if you do manage to get an appointment it’s always over the phone and never in person. The whole system needs changing!"
  • "Trying to get through is basically a lottery. Even if you call at half 8 the receptionist will tell you there's no appointments left and to try again tomorrow."
  • "Appointment booking system and the time we can book it really needs to improve."
  • "If you think that you can book an appointment online - you can't!"
  • "My details were lost so many times. How is this even possible?"
  • "Ever since it’s merged I can’t even get a doctor to check photos of an allergy reaction that is causing me distress."

  • "The reception staff are very polite and really go out of their way to help you."
  • "The staff, doctors and nurses at Berryfields Medical Centre are fantastic! Always friendly & helpful on reception."
  • "Went to gp this morning and was greeted with nothing but smiles and good manners!"

Cons:

  • "The first thing you want to do is call your doctors/gp if you're unwell. Even in worst condition, I really hesitate anxiously to call this gp."
  • "The receptionist told me she physically cannot do that as she has no such option on her system."
  • "Absolutely terrible place, the surgery cancelled our registration because they were under the impression that we don't live in Aylesbury anymore."
  • "I ended up hanging up on the very rude receptionist there who took my call."
  • "Reception staff can only work with their restricted system. System not fit for purpose."
  • "Hours sitting on hold in the que. Eventually either being cut off before speaking to someone, or no appointments left after hours of waiting on the phone."
  • "Was much better before they moved into a new building. Now, either it says line busy and you disconnected or it takes ages to get through on the phone."
  • "My other half took her little one (who has asthma) to the surgery and was told by a nurse that the little one was fine, despite having a cough for 6/7 days."
