"The food is tasty! Service and warm atmosphere are welcoming!"
"The sushi is amazing, really fusion Eastern European Japanese cuisine."
"Koi Sushi Garden, the sushi was like a symphony of flavors dancing in my mouth."
"Food is made fresh and tastes amazing, especially the tempura sushi."
"The sushi was actually not too bad and the restaurant itself looked nice."
"Lovely experience: service is nice and the food is well presented and good quality."
"The food was delicious and the waiter was very friendly!"
"Awesome restaurant! The sushi was delicious!"
Cons:
"The sashimi, the salmon and tuna was not fresh. The cooked shrimps and octopus were dry and chewy."
"Nicely presented but lacking flavour and the prawn didn’t taste as fresh."
"The sushi was pretty good but definitely not worth the price."
"The salmon sashimi was very poor. The pieces were slightly darker on one side and the fish tasted of nothing."
"The sushi on the menu is not even what is served to you."
"The salmon really was not fresh, you can see the condensation coming out of the fish while it’s defrosting because it has been frozen for a while."
Service and Staff
Pros:
"The service is just 1000/10! all the waiters are very welcoming and friendly."
"Special thanks to Elena - you are the best!!!"
"The waitress was friendly, patient, and helpful during the order taking process."
"Very friendly staff, went there on a Friday with no booking and they managed to make room for us."
"Elena looked after us very well. Service was above outstanding."
"I LOVE DILSHAD!!!! (our waiter) HE WAS SO SWEET CUSTOMER SERVICE ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE."
"Very welcoming staff and fabulous food, skilfully prepared and served in authentic Japanese bowls and dishes."
"Very attentive staff and an amazing array of Japanese cuisine at an affordable price."
Cons:
"Service was slow despite calling many times."
"The service was really slow considering the restaurant was very quiet."
"Despite Google opening hours saying they were open until 12am, we were refused service at 1045pm because there was no one else in the restaurant and he wanted to go home."
"Service was terrible. I booked a table for 18:45pm but arrived for 18:57pm due to traffic and was threatened to cancel my booking."
"The main let down was the food, I had chicken and noodles, the chicken was already cooked before, then cut and warmed up to out into my dish, unpleasant tastes."
"The staff seemed uninterested in helping and we were left waiting for a long time before our food arrived."
"Very disappointing, was excited that there was japanese place opening on this side of London been here a few times was trying to give them a benefit of a doubt that they just opened and they need some time to get things in order but the service has not change they have very limited staff, maybe thats why the waitress seems very angry and tired."
Atmosphere and Decor
Pros:
"Love their garden area! The food is tasty! Service and warm atmosphere are welcoming!"
"Overall ambience is great, I sat right at the end of the restaurant the terrace area."
"The atmosphere was chill and laid-back."
"We really enjoyed the ambience, such as the lights and music. Place was very clean."
"The outdoor seating is limited in which parts are covered, so if the weather isn't great I would recommend trying to book a seat indoors."
"One of the best sushi restaurants in London. The sushi is fresh and they have tasty versions of otherwise generic rolls that are available elsewhere."
"Try the outside Garden, that is a hidden oasis at the back of the restaurant. Even open in the colder months with the help of outdoor heaters."
"Second time round and I’m overly pleased with both the hospitality and the food once again! Very attentive staff and an amazing array of Japanese cuisine at an affordable price. We sat in the garden and the ambience is like no other, very chilled and aesthetically pleasing."
Cons:
"An unusual experience, walking into the restaurant one passes the open kitchen and along a narrow passageway (with the bar on the right) into a seating area that opens up into the 'garden'. Now the great thing about the garden is that hay-fever sufferers need not be concerned, as the majority of the plants are plastic!!"
"Food was great and tasted really nice. We had a table in the covered garden, which was a nice environment. Shame the service ruined the experience."
"Once you walk into the restaurant you are slapped with a moldy, mildewy smell."
"Restaurant has a bit of an odd vibe to it with the TV on it takes an age to get served."
Value for Money
Pros:
"Going as a party of 7, it averaged to £15 per person."
"The sushi was fresh, well made and the flavours are well balanced. Packaged well and delivered quickly. Can't fault it, absolutely delicious."
"The sushi is fresh and they have tasty versions of otherwise generic rolls that are available elsewhere. Love their spicy salmon and spicy tuna rolls!"
"Sushi is fresh and well made with just a touch too much rice. There are things on the dinner menu that you don't find commonly at other restaurants. Portions are large and 'American' sized."
"Delicious miso soup, the shitake mushroom makes it really flavoursome."
Cons:
"The dinner costed around £130 and we both thought the price didn’t match with the food quality."
"The sushi was actually not too bad but definitely not worth the price."
"The salmon sashimi was very poor. The pieces were slightly darker on one side and the fish tasted of nothing."
"I ordered a potato pancake, hoping that it would be similar to tócsni, a fragrant, tasty Hungarian dish, given that the restaurant is supposed to be an Eastern European fusion. It had literally no taste, it wasn't seasoned, basically, I could have been eating sandpaper, even that would have had more flavour in it."
"The sushi on the menu is not even what is served to you."
"The salmon really was not fresh, you can see the condensation coming out of the fish while it’s defrosting because it has been frozen for a while."
