Food Quality

Pros:

  • "If you are looking for authentic Italian food, you will find it here!"
  • "However the taste was very good and we enjoyed our ravioli too."
  • "The salad ingredients are so yummy and fresh!"
  • "Exceptional food, for Pasta I would recommend the Orecchiette or Strozzapreti."
  • "You can really feel the ingredients are of the best quality, and you can see the amount of detail overall in the preparation of the food."
  • "Really tasty pasta, all four of us had something different and no one was disappointed."
  • "The pasta I ordered was so creamy that made my mouth water and the meat balls were excellent and succulent."

Cons:

  • "The food was tasted like it was from the frozen food section at tesco (the value range)."
  • "The portion was small and unreasonable for the high price."
  • "Inadequate and overpriced food, with only a fresh burrata living up to our hopes."
  • "The pasta, however, was miniscule in portion size, especially given the price (£9.95) and limited ingredients."
  • "The plate of cavatelli with truffle had no truffle in it but probably only a splash of truffle flavored oil, which is very dishonest considering its price."
  • "The sea bream main plate felt like the fish was off and it had a very strong fishy flavour."
  • "Overpriced fake Italian food."

Service

Pros:

  • "The entire staff were friendly and on-point and the atmosphere was inviting and warm."
  • "Really great starters and sharing platter with cheese and meats was wonderful."
  • "The staff are really friendly!"
  • "With the help of a very dedicated and professional staff and punctual service."
  • "The staff was very kind and attentive."
  • "Great staff, specially Marina, she has very welcoming, warm personality, and friendly manners!"
  • "We also really appreciated the politeness and warm and nice welcoming of Carmelo and the whole staff."

Cons:

  • "We had to ask for a menu and ask to order our drinks and they weren't even busy."
  • "The waiter did not create a warm welcome as there was this constant starring at us while we having our food and I felt like I was not wanted there."
  • "Arrogant and aggressive manager, of whom even the poor (and lovely) waiters were steering clear."
  • "The service is disorganized, it took two people to find my reservation and seat me at a table."
  • "The service was slow and the waiters not particularly friendly or helpful."
  • "The waiting staff is totally lost and they take ages to welcome you and offer you a table."
  • "Staff were really rude - they were rushing us up and made us feel super uncomfortable!"

Atmosphere

Pros:

  • "It is very relaxing and smart but not posh or overpriced (which in London is quite rare to find)."
  • "Nice cosy place in the heart of London bridge. It offers a good variety of southern Italy (Puglia) food in a nice venue, however it's a bit pricy for the quality of the service it offers."
  • "The atmosphere is relaxed and the design of the place is really beautiful."
  • "Beautiful restaurant, nice atmosphere!"
  • "The decor and vibe of the place is immaculate."
  • "This is a really cosy and high quality Italian food restaurant in a quite place near Borough Market."
  • "The decor is an incredible chic mixed with a hint of minimalism and this is also seen in the seating plan where seats and tables are far and few between allowing for privacy."

Cons:

  • "Atmosphere noisy nothing to absorb noise so background noise high, hard to have an intimate chat."
  • "This restaurant feels very like a canteen, and has tiny tables in a very noisy, clattering space."
  • "Bright and garish lighting and the menu didn't look tasty or authentic on its laminated menu."
  • "Probably the worst fake Italian in London."
  • "Decor and layout bright - more for people with a business expense account (and no savoury taste buds) than an intimate romantic eatery."
  • "The food small portion, overpriced."
  • "Service was not warm."

Value

Pros:

  • "Price is reasonable too and wine was quite nice!"
  • "Price is not really cheap but feels fair."
  • "It’s not cheap but they use top quality ingredients- you get what you pay for."
  • "Absolutely great place where one can indulge in awesome food and drinks at reasonable prices, optimal hygienic conditions."
  • "Food quality by London standards very high and value for money excellent when you calculate that we are in London bridge in a tourist area."
  • "The seats are very comfortable, and the prices are quite reasonable; they currently have a special lunch offer of 2 courses for £16."
  • "The food was wonderful and really fresh; the wine a great treat."

Cons:

  • "The portion was small and unreasonable for the high price."
  • "We ended up paying 50 pounds over what was agreed and left feeling aggrieved and embarrassed in front of my staff."
  • "At £14, I was expecting more. Avoid."
  • "I would change the quantity of food. In my eyes, the amount of food was too small which left me a lil’ bit peckish, the price was high though."
  • "The prices are just slightly high but I understand them on one side considering the location on the touristic appeal!"
  • "Overpriced, low quality ingredients, tiny portions."
  • "Sorry to be so severe but you serve poor food and most of all it’s ridiculously overpriced."
