Game Masters and Staff

Pros:

  • "Agent Zac made our first experience so exciting - always on hand for hints."
  • "Jason our Cheshire Cat host was brilliant and gave just enough hints for us to solve it."
  • "Joe was a very helpful games master."
  • "Or just Luke was brilliant and his introduction really set up the experience perfectly!"
  • "Our Games Master was Luke N (pic!) and he did a cracking job of ensuring we didn’t die in that room!"
  • "The staff were very happy to get us in at short notice and were very talkative, very happy to find out whether we’d done anything like it before and very friendly."
  • "Our game master Luke M was an absolute legend, he set us up with a room despite the place being empty and ready to close."
  • "Our games master, Harley was fantastic and friendly, he offered guidance at just the right time and made our experience all the more special!"

Cons:

  • "Our game master wasn’t very good compared to the ones we’ve had at the same place in the past, we received very little help and it seemed like she was disinterested."
  • "We felt unwelcomed and rushed out, the service seemed fake."

Room Themes and Puzzles

Pros:

  • "The room was brilliantly themed and the puzzles were creative."
  • "The wonderland room is fantastic! The variety of puzzles is really good."
  • "We chose to do a Doctor Who escape room that was produced in conjunction with the BBC."
  • "Enjoyed the room ‘Our Finest Hour’ which is WWII based."
  • "The Alice in Wonderland theme was brilliant!"
  • "My partner and I took part in the Doctor Who Worlds Collide room and absolutely loved it. There were plenty of references, interactive puzzles and features to the room."
  • "We really enjoyed Alice in Puzzleland today and were pleased to escape as it was our first family escape room. It was difficult enough to challenge the parents but simple enough that the kids (8 & 10) could solve parts too."
  • "I escaped the Blackbeard's Treasure room with 45 seconds to spare! It was fun and challenging."

Cons:

  • "We booked the doctor who room and they gave us ‘our finest hour’ which was world war 2 themed. It was so boring, uncreative and overly difficult."
  • "The Dr Who one was not very good ie not very logical - I can see that big Dr Who fans would like it for the references though."
  • "There were a couple of challenges we completed and the next step didn't open quickly to show we'd got it right."
  • "The escape room that we did was Doctor who themed. I felt this room had a good balance of hard and more simple puzzles and the decor was perfectly on theme."

Overall Experience and Value

Pros:

  • "Absolutely amazing! We accidentally booked the hardest one for our first escape room and made it out with 7mins to spare."
  • "We loved our experience here! The location was vary spacious, clean, & fun."
  • "Very good experience. Birthday treat for teenage son and his mates."
  • "We had a fantastic time escaping from the Blackbeard themed room. The room fit the theme and the props were interesting and fun."
  • "We had a fantastic time at Escape Hunt this morning doing the Alice in Wonderland room! So much fun, all the puzzles are so well designed."
  • "We had an absolutely brilliant time at Escape Hunt this morning doing the Alice in Wonderland room!"
  • "Had a great time doing the time cops city hunt! Got to see lots of buildings I wouldn't normally have looked at."
  • "Had the absolute best time! We’d originally booked on the city hunt one but me being me didn’t read it properly so we asked to swap to another & they were so accommodating!"

Cons:

  • "Even with the student discount the price is a little steep, about £22 a person, so keep that in mind if you're on a budget."
  • "It seemed more expensive than I’d expect, but actually the amount of setup required and the production value of the room was incredible and justified the cost."
  • "Overall very good but with a price of £22 per person I would have Preferred if we actually drowned at the end."
  • "The new host (Steph??) was at the desk paying no attention to us and seemed mildly confused when we asked for the items needed for the final puzzle. Instead she was talking to a friend, generally showing poor customer service."
