Price and Value

Pros:

  • "The food menu is comprehensive at a reasonable price less so on the drinks, expensive but expected."
  • "Chefs tasting menu was a great way to sample a wide range of different things and reasonable value considering their Michelin status."
  • "I highly recommend the chefs special. Great value and some taste experiences I never would have tried!"
  • "Chef's selection is wonderful and at £60 it may seem pricey but it's worth every bite. Very filling, everything is cooked to perfection."

Cons:

  • "We expected to pay more with it being a Michelin Star restaurant but the prices were really high when compared to the portion size."
  • "The food is high quality and the staff passionate but there's no getting away from the fact that portion sizes here are incredibly small."
  • "So expensive and not worth it. Place are not comfortable for sitting. No plans to put our bags. Music was so loud."
  • "The prices are ridiculous. Each tapa aserved at the cost of a main. The food is tasty but not worth it."
  • "For the prices they are charging, they need to look at details. The food portions are very small - particularly the main courses."

Service

Pros:

  • "Our waiter was exceptional, amazing knowledge of the dishes, the wine on offer and his personality really added to the overall experience."
  • "Staff were amazing as well, really attentive and we were treated like individuals, a tough skill in a busy restaurant."
  • "The wait staff were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. Had the best time here."
  • "Great food, fantastic and attentive service."
  • "Service was very good including handling an allergy without any fuss."

Cons:

  • "The service, whilst promising to be good, was bizarrely intimate to begin with, then non-existent for the next 2.5 hours."
  • "Service not quite up to standard and drinks very lacking. No ales at all only larger and very limited soft drinks or spirits."
  • "The service we had was great to start, but then our waitress changed ... and the new one was rude and quite unhelpful."
  • "We were told to be quick if we wanted to have any of the slower cooked meat dishes as we only had 90 minutes to eat and leave."
  • "Despite arriving ridiculously early for our booked table we were allowed to take our seat straight away and settle down for our evening's eatfest."

Food Quality

Pros:

  • "Regardless the food was delicious all round but it felt like there was never enough for the price."
  • "The food preparation, presentation and quality was simply mind blowing, super tasteful!"
  • "Absolutely incredible experience. From ribs that melt in your mouth to smoked flavourful olives every course was a delight."
  • "The food was excellent. All cooked beautifully and very well presented."
  • "Very good food. Every dish was reliably well cooked and tasted delicious."

Cons:

  • "The food, on the whole, was very good- save for the aubergine, which was cold and vinegary."
  • "The chorizo in cider was awful, but 5/6 dishes can't complain about the other dishes themselves."
  • "The food was good but quite pricey. More of a bar type venue, with loud music and casual service."
  • "Food was soso, nothing like my extensive tapas experience in Spain. Horrendously overpriced,a minute piece of sea bass for £16."
  • "Some of the highest quality tapas you will found outside spain, with every dish cooked to perfection. While the quality is undeniable, however, the price point should demand more originality than what is displayed in most dishes."
