Cons:
"plas yn dre is appalling, i was on my way back from holiday with my disabled partner and our two children when we were looking for somewhere to have some food, we saw this place and thought it looked welcoming and i went in first with our 5 year old son and when to use the toilets before we sat down to eat, half way up the stairs where toilet signs were an older woman came out of the bar area fag in hand shouting 'excuse me what are you doing' straight away i said 'we are just about to to eat here, im just taking him to the toilet first' she then shouting aggressively 'this isn't a public toilet, your so rude'."
"Young blonde waitress seemed inconvenienced by serving us."
"Sadly it resulted in being a little forgotten about. Our drinks arrived after our mains."
"No one came to ask how the food was."
"The staff was not really willing to work; first night kitchen closed at 8.15pm and they sent us away."
"Only negative thing was the young guy serving us kept sighing when we asked for things - like when I asked for some missing cutlery!"
"So disappointed with the service. Been to this establishment a few times whilst holidaying in north wales."
Food Quality
Pros:
"The food was excellent and the portion sizes massive for the money."
"The beef was tender, veg cooked just right and the Yorkshire pudding and gravy were perfect."
"The food was good and fairly priced."
"Food fantastic and portions incredibly generous."
"The food was great, one of the best fish and chips I've ever had!"

"Each course was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious."
Cons:
"Brownie was like a sandcastle... unbelievably dry, powdery and awful actually."
"Meal was expensive and a bit 'showy' for my liking."
"Left feeling pretty hungry, chicken was also quite dry."
"The only exception was the gnocchi which was practically inedible as it was so dry."
"Not very impressed with the food, especially the lamb priced at £18 and then and additional £3 for veg."
"Fish & chips, again overcooked and disappointing."
"Food is mediocre teetering on poor."
Value for Money
Pros:
"£92 for two starters, two mains, and two bottles of excellent wine seemed like reasonable value."
"Really good portions, tasty and reasonably priced."
"Prices were value for money."
"The meal was reasonably priced."
"Great service and great food, at a reasonable price!"
"Excellent value for money."
"We thought it was going to be expensive but where pleasantly surprised when our bill was £32 for two decent large meals and a kid's meal plus two drinks."
Cons:
"Ambiente was pretty loud - booked a table but got seated in the same room with the bar because they gave away our table."
"Had one ale on (purple moose) which was decent quality but very overpriced for the area, most expensive beer in town."
"Starter was good but perhaps a pound more than it should've been given its simplicity."
"For £25 for a meal and a coke I was expecting bigger things of the food, or maybe just more food."
"Bit expensive for the 12hr lamb dish especially when you get no vegetables with it just meat, mash and a sprinkle of fried parsnip shavings."
"My husband and myself both ordered a sandwich which at £8 seemed a bit expensive but once it arrived we realised why."
"Was a little pricey for the area but the quality of food and standard of service makes those prices worth it."
