Atmosphere and Ambiance

Pros:

  • "Outside area is fab! Proper sun trap."
  • "The highlight is they brew their own beer and feature a spectrum of cervesa types."
  • "Visited whilst in town for work. Place is a good size, staff appeared really busy even when the place was pretty quiet."

Cons:

  • "The entrance at the front could be a bit tidier, lots of cigarette butt's scattered around."
  • "No music in our day time visit, which was nice. A relaxing visit overall."
  • "We went in, could not move and found that our 'reserved' table had been taken over."

Service

Pros:

  • "Our host Lizzy was very knowledgeable and it was great to learn so many things."
  • "Outstanding service! Our server Tanya was so lovely, she recommended us the Juicy Crush cider."
  • "Tom (our waiter) was very helpful and polite, looked after us really well."

Cons:

  • "The bar staff could not find our table number and made no concerted effort to find us."
  • "Service needs some attention. It was difficult getting the attention of the waiting staff."
  • "Really poor service and quality of the food was appalling."

Food and Drink

Pros:

  • "The food we had afterward was also very yummy."
  • "We ordered the gold buffet for our guests, and it was delicious."
  • "The craft larger is nice and responsibly priced."

Cons:

  • "Food took ages, and was pretty awful, ordered 'no ice' in my drinks but they came with ice."
  • "The sweetcorn that comes with the meals didn't taste great though, was pretty tasteless."
  • "Some food was ok, but roast dinner in the evening tasted like it was stale and leftover from the day."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "The food was really great too. Would definitely recommend!"
  • "Really enjoyed our Whisky and Beer pairing experience which I purchased for my dad as a gift."
  • "Would definitely recommend as either a bar or venue!!"

Cons:

  • "Had a craft beer, lovely and crisp. Burger, was tiny, two patties and cheese with a hint of mushroom - total cost ~£22...pretty expensive."
  • "I've been here maybe a year ago and the food quality has dropped dramatically."
  • "Not very good at all. No wonder it was close to empty on a Thursday night when every other place was packed."
