• "Putting how stressful it was aside, it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. There's nothing better than shouting at your friends when there's only 10 minutes left before the end of the experience, and our Game Master Hadley worked really to make sure we were able to stay on be right track without giving us the answers."

Room Themes and Puzzles

Pros:

• "The pirate-themed escape room was an exhilarating adventure from start to finish. The attention to detail in the room's design transported us to a world of swashbuckling excitement."
• "We did the Dalek Awakens room and it was fantastic."
• "The puzzles were incredible, they were difficult enough to solve and yet have a great time."
• "We did the Alice in Puzzle Land room and it was the BEST one yet! Amazing sets, packed full of so many different puzzles, very hands on and interactive room, we all loved it."
• "Myself and my partner took part in Blackbeard’s treasure in Basingstoke. The game was charming and had a fantastic flow including it’s props."
• "Really good fun, the Alice room was just the right amount of challenge to solve the puzzles without any of them being too frustrating."

• "It was very difficult, with no real clear indication how each puzzle was meant to be solved...or where each puzzle was! Some parts were broken or missing, making for a lot of wasted time until the staff member pressed some sort of 'skip' button for us to move us on."

• "Went with my partner for my first Escape Room experience, we went into the Aladdin themed escape room. There was one puzzle that didn’t work for us but was just a misstep on the reset."
• "We took on the challenge of Aladin as part of a works Christmas doo. This would have been 5 stars without a doubt but sadly a gem was missing from the game which caused us to waste too much time on a section which we could not have completed anyway resulting in us not escaping in the alloted time."
• "The puzzles in Aladdin weren’t great. No linear story. No reason to what you were doing. Puzzles didn’t really use your brain."
• "Not a good experience overall. The room hadn’t been set up when we arrived and this was only noticed just as we were about to enter the room so we had to wait whilst two staff members hurried inside to fix it."
• "Recommend the Alice but definitely don't recommend Aladdin, it's the worst escape rooms from all of the ones of this generally fabulous and all ages friendly brand with great immersive interior design."
• "We have done a few escape rooms and been disappointed but that is never the case at Escape hunt Basingstoke. The rooms are spectacular and the staff are incredible, Particularly our host today Mike. We will definitely be coming back very soon. The Dalek escape room is awesome!!"
