Cinema Experience

Pros:

  • "The screen and sound are of high quality."
  • "The seats are very comfortable and the angle of their position means you aren't looking at the back of the person in front throughout the showing."
  • "Lovely local cinema, not many screens so not many films on, but they show interesting ones and it's well maintained and a pleasant experience."
  • "The 3 screens are well comfortable to sit for watching a movie there and a cosy environment all round."
  • "If you like to sit in a clean and comfortable cinema then this is the place for you."
  • "Nice seats, and good viewing experience but it was let down by the fact you could hear the loud music coming from Revolutions next door at the late showing we went to."
  • "The cinema has good screens and really comfy seats."

Cons:

  • "Rather too expensive for a family of 4 at £49 only to find that the movie has subtitles."
  • "Tickets just as expensive as cineworld which tbh I think is rather overpriced."
  • "I enjoyed the film despite missing so much of the dialogue. I am very disappointed that subtitles shows are so infrequent."
  • "The seats were very comfortable but we were really cold."
  • "Couldn't get a seat in cafe/bar. Lots of people sat over empty drinks working on laptops."
  • "Prices were fairly standard compared to other cinemas, but the space in the cinema was below average."
  • "I have been twice and on both occasions been totally uncomfortable in the cinema."

Food and Drink

Pros:

  • "The sweet potato and egg mash was stupidly good - like really, unexpectedly brilliant - and the portion size was enormous."
  • "The waterside cafe has good views, is always busy, friendly and rather welcoming with a selection of drinks and cakes to choose from."
  • "A very good selection of drinks including reals ales and craft beers."
  • "They have a good bar with tasty food and decent wine list, you can take your drink into the showing."
  • "Food was lovely and well priced."
  • "The food is reasonable priced, as are the drinks, and it is a fantastic place to kick back and enjoy an afternoon."
  • "The food was amazing, ordered a Caesar salad and I have to say it was one of the best I've ever ordered."

Cons:

  • "I paid £6.20 for 2 tiny paper cups of lukewarm coffee which were half filled with liquid, half foam."
  • "Seriously disappointed with the cafe."
  • "Food ok, but not amazing. The chicken burger was tasty but the bun basically disintegrated."
  • "The food was massively overpriced and also dreadful."
  • "But for dinner a week or so later I had a kimchi hotdog and although it wasn't bad in and of itself, compared to the amazing brunch, it was just lacking something."
  • "In fact the one thing which let them down was their rather disappointing dinner menu."
  • "Was violently sick overnight after eating here."

Cons:

  • "30 minutes it took to clear some plates."
  • "Service can sometimes be slow at peak times."

  • "The person who served us wasn't very friendly."
  • "The venue didn't let us know prior to us arriving."
  • "The staff here are deplorable, they spit vile nastiness about our deceased national heroes, hours after they have passed, please spend your money anywhere but here."
  • "The second time I went, the film had to be paused twice, they forgot to turn the lights out in the cinema."

  • "Great venue but an absolute nightmare on Friday & Saturday as it's smack bang in the middle of loads of bars full of drunken groups, stag and hen parties whose screams and shouts are often heard in the auditoriums."
  • "The noise from the Vodka Bar next door can creep through the wall."
  • "Been coming for three years... but being next to Revs can sometimes expose its visitors to loutish drunks."
