  • "Lovely pub but disappointed we were told to leave as we had our dog with us and he wasn't allowed inside."
  • "Unfortunately during the visit (eating indoors), we were bombarded with flies, although not the fault of the pub, (windows all open due to the heat), maybe moving forward screens could be put up over the windows to stop the flies, but still allowing the air in."
  • "Unfortunately when we arrived, we were advised the pub was NOT dog friendly!"
  • "We had a very frosty reception by the lady behind the bar when we arrived."

  • "Food was lovely, very big portions. I had venison casserole, beautiful taste but a little on the dry side."
  • "The food in the main was pretty food, the recommended belly pork was cooked to perfection but it was far too fatty and oily."
  • "Portion sizes where half size, we where asked to share a tray of vegetables what wasn't enough for one person never mind two, and my steak pie was only a slither of the size it was back in June."
  • "The pudding were a let down after that, as the meringue was shop bought and it wasn't a proper crumble."

Cons:

  • "Visited this pub with a group of 12 walking friends for a prearranged preordered meal yesterday. We arrived and were seated at the requested time of 6.30pm and waited an hour and 10 minutes before being served with the starters."
  • "The only slight grumble we had was the time it took for people to get their deserts so sadly we declined."
  • "Only downside was the wait for our meals to be prepared...but as the beer was so good it wasn't really a hardship - if you're really hungry it might be a bit more of a problem tho."
  • "The service was poor leaving us for several minutes with no cutlery and food going cold."
  • "Just one minor complaint, and that is when someone brings you the dessert menu it usually means they come back and take order. We ended up leaving after waiting a considerable time."
  • "We did have to wait quite a long time for our meals but we understand these are not normal times."

  • "Parking a bit limited but, other than that, no issues at all."
