Family-Friendly Activities

Pros:

  • "A great kids adventure playground, with a small scenic train trip around the park to see the animals."
  • "This place has the most punctual train in the whole of the UK!"
  • "The wee train was fantastic and it was great to feed the llamas."
  • "Lots of fun things for him to explore and play on."
  • "Definitely a place to revisit, so much still to do."
  • "The animals appeared to be well cared for and lots of places to buy pellets to feed them."
  • "Fun place to take my 2yrold nephew, the staff were lovely and there were a variety of activities to keep him entertained."
  • "It's perfect for kids. There is plenty to do. It is all outdoors."

Cons:

  • "The place doesn't really offer much at all and most of the ride on carts had issues need fixing."
  • "The seats on all the ride on vehicles were wet from the rain."
  • "However, if it's raining I bet it's a pretty miserable place."
  • "There isn't much for adults to do, but still they are charging Β£10 each for entry alone."
  • "This park is amazing. Albeit it's smaller than Heads of Ayr or Blair Drummind or any other pumpkin picking or Christmas event place."
  • "The food van was a disappointment, cold chicken nuggets, cold chicken burger that looked like a reheat."
  • "The cafe stops selling food at 3! They got a graze box which contained a small sandwich and a apple juice a fraze bar and fruit bites to which my 6 year old is fussy and didn't eat any of it!"
  • "The cafe is now open, with a shop that sells fresh eggs from chickens in the park. There is an Antique shop worth visiting and an upcycling shop with beautiful goods. The Β£2 fee is fine if visiting the play park but shouldn't need to pay to walk along the Clyde Walkway!"

Animal Encounters

Pros:

  • "Animals were surprisingly friendly and not prone to nibbling small fingers."
  • "Was great to see the wee newborn piglets and lambs."
  • "The animals come right over so you can feed them."
  • "Animals were so close and ran by the side of the train."
  • "Our kids (5yo and 9yo) loved this place. Took a picnic but there is a cafe too. Lots of picnic seating. Nice to feed the animals (bring spare change - 50p for some animal feed or golf ball for crazy golf)."
  • "Kids really enjoyed it. The llamas being fed from the train were a new experience for us which was brill."
  • "There are a nice selection of walks and areas for viewing and feeding a pleasing number of animals."
  • "The pigs and baby animals were adorable. The horse is huffy he only likes you if you have food πŸ˜†. The train was brilliant as ever, but the animals don't come up to the train anymore to feed from your hands, which is a shame."

Cons:

  • "The train runs at regular intervals, but really should run more often as it can seem like a long wait."
  • "The animals don't come up to the train anymore to feed from your hands, which is a shame."
  • "The train was rammed full with no distancing measures in place."
  • "Not enough seating areas. The boys loved the bouncy pillows, the sand play area and the train."
  • "The food van was a disappointment, cold chicken nuggets, cold chicken burger that looked like a reheat."
  • "The goats kept escaping and causing havoc."
  • "Some of the animals looked underfed and the enclosures were dirty."
  • "The animal enclosures could do with some maintenance and cleaning."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "We spent around 4hrs and had lunch - food is reasonably priced too!!"
  • "Very reasonably priced and the Santa experience was great."
  • "If you buy online it's also cheaper and guaranteed entry."
  • "The price is steep but is justified. Great day out."
  • "A highly recommend and great day out for families with toddlers and children."
  • "You’re entry fee is what you pay, no extra surprises once inside."
  • "The wee train ride is great too. Definitely worth the yearly membership."
  • "We have just moved to the area and absolutely love having this local to us. We went for the first time 2 weeks ago and bought annual passes because we know we will return lots."

Cons:

  • "The only down fall is having paid just over Β£40 for 3 people online you then have to pay a parking charge of Β£2 which I think is a bit ridiculous."
  • "First time visitor with my neice and nephew, 3 and 6 year old respectfully, accompanied by my own two, aged 12 and 15."
  • "The place is really good for young kids but here comes the big problem... The price. A family of four cost us Β£36."
  • "The go karts I feel there should be some form of queuing system in place as it turns into a free for all for fastest first which isn't really fair when you have been waiting ages."
  • "Food was expensive as 2 X Chips with Cheese and 1 X Chips plus 3 X dinks came to just shy of Β£20."
  • "Grandson had a great time but I don't think at 3 years old they should be charging full price, also disappointing that despite the fact there were 5 of us and it cost Β£62 to book on line they then charge you to park the car."
  • "Nice Farm playpark kids love it, been here alot over the years. However Prices have gone Up alot this year, almost double the price and you need to pay for parking too now."
  • "We found the fare expensive. We paid Β£23.00 for 4 scones 2 Lattes and 2 hot chocolates."

  • "The toilets were clean and there were enough of them."
  • "The cafe was clean and offered a good variety of food options."

Cons:

  • "There is a lack of adequate toilet facilities for the number of visitors."
  • "The cafe was overpriced and the quality of food was poor."
  • "The cafe service was slow and the staff seemed overwhelmed."
  • "The park could do with more bins as there was quite a bit of litter around."

  • "The parking situation was chaotic and poorly managed."
