Cost and Value
Pros:
"Great adventure playground... reasonably priced although it was winter prices."
"Definitely worth a visit if you have young kids. Not too expensive."
"We all had a great time and for a very good price."
"Fantastic for the kids and very inexpensive to get in."
"Great for 3-12years. £3 to park. Cafe prices are normal for these places."
"Brilliant wee place... 3 hours was just enough for us, and it's well priced."
"Prices are reasonable given that there are multiple options of play areas, trails and a couple of nice cafes."
"Perhaps the best kids play park I've ever seen? Perfectly reasonable entrance fees as well."
Cons:
"A little cost heavy on parents that's why 4 star."
"Can seem a bit pricey once you add in the adult fee and multiple kids."
"For non UK residents such as us, this can be expensive when you add on all the fees."
"Entry price is a bit steep though and could be doing with better eating facilities."
"Prices are very reasonable but having to pay for adults who clearly can't play is a bit of a swizz."
"If you're looking for a way to have your kids burn off all that lock down energy, Fort Douglas is a great place to it... Probably a little overpriced for what it is, but the children enjoyed it"
"It's a great gated up play park but can't justify to pay £24 for a family with 3 kids for 3 hours of play. Plus £3 parking."
"It cost us £15 for our two under fives to be accompanied into this park by us (parents). They had simple fun for 90 mins, but no more than in a free playpark. But £15???? Not worth the money."
Facilities and Activities
Pros:
"There was loads of exciting play equipment designed for fun and challenges."
"This place is amazing for toddlers to run around. Loads of different areas and fun activities."
"Great adventure playground. Good variety of things for kids to play on."
"The selection of plays and activities are fantastic for preschoolers and older kids as well."
"Really well maintained park, sort of hidden away from the world. Great climbing experience for all ages."
"Really fun place for kids of all ages! Nice and spacious as it does get very busy very quickly!"
"Very frosty day, it is still beautiful and magical and the kids had a great time. Love the restoration yard shopping experience."
"Really nice park for kids, all well built and very clean considering it’s outdoors - no bird poo to be seen."
Cons:
"The only minus is you pay for every adult going in with a kid, and adults don't use anything 🙈🙈🙈"
"For non UK residents such as us, this can be expensive when you add on all the fees."
"I know the UK is a little obsessed with Health & Safety but all the signage is a little OTT."
"One simple request, if it has been raining a member of staff could quickly dry off the slides prior to opening - wet trousers can spoil an outing !!"
"Only down fall is how long you stand and wait in the queue to have your QR code scanned to let you in due to people buying tickets on their phone on arrival."
"I took my family today mostly because of the jumping pillows that i purely booked for to be told it isn’t working today at the entrance."
"Not too expensive for 3hrs worth of outdoor play, grounds kept very well. Great for 3-12years. £3 to park. Cafe prices are normal for these places. Lots of places to have a picnic."
"What an absolute disappointment. I'm disabled registered struggling to walk - using walker. Single mum of 3 kids - they charged me full price ticket to go in and if not help of a friend I would not even be able to climb hill (only way to play ground) staff who charged me didn't offer help. Definitely not recommended for single disabled parents. If not nice weather I would leave."
