  • "Beautiful restaurant in Port Issac with incredible views from our table upstairs."

Cons:

  • "Unfortunately there are not good views of the harbour (although we did not go upstairs) and the venue is a little small and cramped."
  • "Pleasant inside, although very loud cheesy pop music detracted from a restaurant experience."
  • "The real problem with my visit to this restaurant was the fact that dogs were allowed into the restaurant while we were eating, I really didn’t appreciate the smell of wet dog while I was trying to eat with my family."

Service

Cons:

  • "Very disappointed in the customer service."
  • "Waited 45mins for lady to come to take our drinks order, and then waited an eternity for them to appear."
  • "No apology was offered and we over heard them call us moody."
  • "Lots of people after us got served before us."
  • "Service was poor, there was a table of 4 being looked after to the detriment of others, ignored by certain staff because she was to busy looking after her friends."
  • "Service was terrible and we were ignored throughout, not even offered a drink."
  • "There was a lack of service, as we were not asked if we wanted any extra drinks or even water with our meal."

Food Quality

Pros:

  • "food was lovely as always."

  • "The food itself is an imaginative combination of flavours and really nicely presented without skimping on portion size."
  • "Best fish I've had by far. The sides and sauces all compliment it perfectly."

Cons:

  • "The fish pie and crab rarebit (no crab) and the house wine tasted cheap."
  • "My fish and chips were below average. Thin fish (cod) and overcooked."
  • "The most expensive cream tea I had in Cornwall but it was the best, you get what you pay for."
  • "The food was utterly exquisite until I got to the Falmouth mussels."
  • "The crab rigatoni (£24.50) was very disappointing. The rigatoni was actually penne, there was hardly any crab meat, too much sauce and the pasta was not al dente."
  • "Was disappointed with the 'fish' as it felt like 70% batter and 30% meat substitute."
  • "exceptionally disappointing meal, don’t be fooled by the seaside location any seafood meals will be doused in dairy products!!"
