Atmosphere & Location

Pros:

  • "Always thought this was a mainstream, commercial kind of a bar, but was pleasantly surprised to discover it's a real ale pub."

  • "Nice decoration authentic to its theme and great atmosphere."
  • "This is a great lively place to go for some after work drinks."

Cons:

  • "Booked a table for 6 of us last night as we were meeting up with friends. Expected to be seated in the mezzanine dining area but ended up at the far end of a very noisy bar, very disappointing."
  • "It’s a bit loud if you’re looking for a place to eat and chill a bit."
  • "Very loud and noisy on a friday night."
  • "It would be a fine place to drink and eat except that they play the music so insanely loud that nobody can have a conversation."
  • "But don't go if you're epileptic - the LED bulbs were strobing really badly!"
  • "When I arrived at The Hydrant at 1:30 it was cold inside."

  • "Service so bad I feel compelled to review it."
