Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The most amazing Chilean style empanadas. They are big, baked, crust and fillings are made with prime ingredients and taste like heaven."
  • "We tried the beef empanadas, the salmon ceviche, and the Barros Lucco, which were all delicious."
  • "The food was amazing! Mouth watering really, 100% recommended. They make their own bread and everything was just fresh."
  • "The hotdog was excellent it was encased in a chewy bread bun and topped with saurkraut, tomatoes, avocado, and mayo."
  • "The food surpassed any expectation. The portions are large, so coke hungry! We took milhojas to go and they were splendid."

Cons:

  • "The empanada was nice, soft, and juicy. However, I was expecting a little more punch in the flavour profile."
  • "The beef with cheese one lacks a bit of personality (could be improved with the delicious vinaigrette served with their empanadas and less cheese)."
  • "The banana cake was a bit dry, nothing that would stop me from coming back though!"
  • "The only thing I didn't like was the empanada was very watery and basically soaked the empanada."
  • "It took over 45 min to get avocado toast and it came as avocado in a bowl with bread on side."

Coffee and Beverages

Pros:

  • "My coffee connoisseur husband was so excited to finally have a 'really delicious' cup of coffee after a few weeks of travelling!"
  • "Top-notch coffee, breakfast and lunch spot a stone's throw from Paddington and surrounding hotels."
  • "The latte texture was perfect, possibly the best milk texture I've had."
  • "We had cafe bombom, which is black coffee with condensed milk, incredible!"
  • "The coffee is too good, the attention is spectacular, the Chilean food is amazing and it has a downstairs set for meetings or to have a drink with friends."

Cons:

  • "Not the best brand of coffee (is Illy for me) but still being quite good."
  • "Coffee should be hot not warm."
  • "Paid 12£ for two cups of lightly spiced steamed milk- you could barely call it a chai, and there certainly was NOT a shot of espresso in either one!"
  • "Given a roll instead of a croissant without explanation. When challenged the waitress said oh we have run out of croissants!"
  • "The latte glass was off putting and I regretted ordering it, but a nice smile from the waiter cheered me up."

Ambiance and Decor

Pros:

  • "Ah! They have sitting downstairs too so don’t be discouraged on a rainy day If It looks full from outside!"
  • "A cozy Chilean bar/ restaurant in Paddington. They have lots of options, both food and drinks, all truly Chilean."
  • "The ground floor has a few tables but downstairs there's plenty of room and the decoration is super cute."
  • "The interior is cozy and spread across two floors, offering outside seating."
  • "The owners are very kind and the place has a great ambient. There is room downstrais available for special functions and dinner decorated in a chilean style."

Cons:

  • "It’s a bit small but they make as much use of the space as possible with 2 indoor floors of seating and 5 outdoor 2-top tables."
  • "The music was too loud in the basement and I asked if it could be turned down. Although there was only one other guest next to me, I was told curtly that it couldn't be done."
  • "A bit expensive, but is probably the better Chilean restaurant I've been in Europe yet."

Customer Service

Pros:

  • "Served by efficient and friendly staff."
  • "Warm and inviting atmosphere with friendly and prompt customer service."
  • "Really nice staff, friendly and attentive ☺️."
  • "We were served by Jorge and he was very kind and helpful."
  • "The staff are lovely. Also they have Chilean pisco - which is very hard to find in the UK."

Cons:

  • "Very slow and inattentive waiters - checking the orders multiple times or bringing the wrong order before getting it right."
  • "The lady that is the 'big boss', as referred to by the staff, is snobby, rude and has a condescending attitude towards customers."
  • "But despite quite a simple order (2x lattes and 1x empanada) the waitress had to come clarify our coffee order. Then it took a while to come. She then had to clarify the food order."
  • "One of the baristas literally forced me to take my coffee to go after I ordered* because they’ll close after 20 minutes!!!"
  • "Payment reader didn’t work. All in all poor experience."
