Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The food is fantastic and the best choice of pizza in B29/B30/B31."
  • "Really cosy and friendly place. I ordered Napolitana pizza (with anchovies) and it was amazing. Very tasty and very authentic."
  • "Small, cosy and just fantastic food. A quality product that was just so epic in taste and value!"
  • "Best pizza around. We had the Mixed Tagliere for starters, which was a delicious selection of meats and cheese."
  • "The food itself was good and the arancini balls were probably the highlight of the night."
  • "On the plus side the pizzas are very good. And the Sicilian cannoli is excellent."
  • "The toppings were very high quality, and the crust had the distinctive tangyness and chew that you get from a cold ferment."
  • "The pizza was delicious, loved the freshness of the dough and toppings, by far the best pizza I have eaten in a very long time."

Cons:

  • "Pizza was just OK, a bit sloppy, the slices don't hold together because of amount of cheese and not a huge amount of flavour."
  • "Not good, pizza is small with really big doe crust and cheese is like plastic taste."
  • "The vegetarian pizza was fine. Slightly too much charcoal on the edges."
  • "We had pizzas for collection rather than eat in. I personally felt it was way too overpriced for what you get."

Service

Pros:

  • "The team was very active and friendly and were striving to make us comfortable. The service was also pretty fast even though we ordered around 20 pizzas."
  • "Was welcomed by the outgoing hostess and seated adequately. Staff kept an eye on me and even had a quick hello with the Owner which was a nice touch."
  • "Delicious food, tall dark haired waitress- didn’t catch her name- was absolutely lovely and welcoming and recommended the best vegetarian options on the menu."
  • "Lovely food and superb service by Lara(?). Turned up on with no booking and a baby with a buggy, they managed to occupy us and Lara’s service was so brilliant from start to finish."

Cons:

  • "When eating in, service takes a while and we’ve had to remind them about missing items."
  • "I really wanted to love Alicia’s as I heard so many positive things about this place but unfortunately it just didn’t live up to what I was expecting. The main reason why I was extremely disappointed was the service."
  • "Dining in, had our starters, and the mains took more than an hour to come out."
  • "Extremely cocky and rude manager/owner. Lack of basic customer service."
  • "Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience here recently due to really bad service. The waiter was very rude to our group."
  • "Service was really slow! Quite a few things needed following up on as they had been forgotten."

Ambiance

Pros:

  • "Really cosy and friendly place. Very active and friendly team striving to make us comfortable."
  • "Absolutely the perfect date night with some epic local beers on offer. You need to book or you just won't get in."
  • "Amazing atmosphere and vibe, we were sat in the tent with the fire and it was so cosy."
  • "The atmosphere was very nice: we sat outside at a big table in a large garden area. It was a lovely dry evening."

Cons:

  • "The environment was so noisy, I couldn’t hear the people sitting across from me at our table."
  • "Its bigger than I expected, staff were friendly but we were sat out the back and it felt like I was in someone's garden with a knocked up wooden hut."
  • "Unfortunately this place was not to my taste, despite the hype. We were sat outside in the shed thing, it was cold."
  • "We were seated in a temporary corner staring at a concrete wall with a red canopy above our heads."
