Staff and Service
Pros:
"This practice has the most compassionate friendly staff I have ever experienced."
"From reception through to the vet, everyone was lovely to both me and my oversized puppy."
"The nurses were so helpful from booking her in to comforting her whilst we were waiting."
"The ladies on reception are so friendly and helpful too."
"Everyone at the practice seemed helpful and friendly throughout."
"Receptionists friendly and greeted dog and owner straightaway."
"The staff showed genuine concern given the state I was in."
Cons:
"Has been steadfastly reduced to a run of the mill practice where profit before service is the order of their day."
"Very unhappy with both the service, as well as the information we received during the past few visits and we will be looking to change to a different vet now."
"I am furious at their lack of response to a very ill and suffering pet!"
"I've been here multi times as it's near me but never been very happy as most of the vets seem to be very young and 'newly qualified'."
"Rude, unhelpful and bad communication. I have tried with this vet 3 times now and each time I have been extremely dissatisfied."
"The vet was more interested in leaving for the night, I voiced my concerns over and over the vet refused to listen."
"Our experience with Medivet can only be described as horrific."
Cost and Billing
Pros:
"The charges are also well below the fairly extortionate prices of most of their Horsham competitors."
"To my surprise, there was also an additional £100 on our bill, which we queried and had removed after some discussions."
Cons:
"Not convinced with this practice now it's Medi Vet. Totally outrageous prices."
"It's less about animal welfare and more about robbing you blind because you love your animal."
"While they are available 24/7, out of hours consultation is extremely expensive."
"Before medivet took over this was a great vets, soon as they took over, to have a dematt on our cat changed from £90 to £290 over night."
"Beware of costs such as £27 for your cats front nails to be trimmed."
"Its of great concern when you as a pet owner have to be on guard for hidden or extra costs."
"Fees were expensive, and £500 later I will be collecting her in a casket."
Quality of Care
Pros:
"The treatment my dog received was outstanding."
"Managed to get a same day appointment which is near enough impossible for reptiles."
"Very quick and immediate response following our dog's accident."
"They were caring and professional from first contact to the after care."
"Saved my doggy's life following a cluster seizure out of hours on a Sunday afternoon."
"The care that our two Westies have received at Seer's Croft is exemplary."
"The care taken by Vet Dawn to resolve the problem with my dog being unable to eat anything at all was exceptional."
Cons:
"Sadly Freya lost her life on the monday morning, she was put through unnecessary distress from this veterinary clinic."
"Furthermore, our dog was misdiagnosed with expensive tablets for nearly 2 years, no apology was offered."
"Although they saw our pup very fast (out of hours) even after refusing to see her as she was registered with another vet which she wasn’t (so much for duty of care) the vet assured us that she didn’t need an X-ray and said just a sprain."
"I am totally appalled by their attitude and would never recommend them."
"The male vet who saw him was aggressive with him and didn’t seem to have much experience working with tortoises."
"Had my cat go for simple dental oppointment. Under the anesthesia he unfortunately passed away."
"Our poor dog was still bleeding and in immense discomfort."
Facilities and Accessibility
Pros:
"Lovely modern friendly vet surgery. Plenty of parking, modern facilities such as a CT scanner and hydrotherapy pool."
"Great well equipped vets."
"They operate on site 24/7 365 days a year."
Cons:
"Disgraceful. Called up within their normal working hours with an emergency and explained that having moved to Horsham, my normal vet was 40 minutes away and could they help? They explained they did out of hours emergency service for other vets and couldn't take out of hours work direct from patients."
"These are my emergency vets and it is sometimes impossible to get through to them!"
"When we arrived, we were required to read and sign documents outside in the rain."
"Our dog required an operation a number of months ago. Seers Croft did not provide required documentation to our insurer for months."
