Service

Pros:

  • "Great service, great food on the bottomless brunch menu (eggs benedict was delicious) and plenty of prosecco to go along with it."
  • "Staff really were excellent...would definitely go again."
  • "Service was quick and staff were friendly."
  • "Staff super friendly and service quick although it wasn't busy when I visited."
  • "Overall Service was great, and organisation between the staff made it more valuable."
  • "Service was warm, personal but efficient enough."
  • "Fantastic staff who make time to be friendly and extremely welcoming."

Cons:

  • "We sat for an hour at the table without being approached at all by any staff."
  • "The waitress serving us was clearly hungover and admitted as such. We had to ask for everything twice and even then she still forgot things."
  • "They didn’t seem to care when we left… and didn’t even bother to respond to my email."
  • "The service was also really slow and we had to order our drinks 4 times and didn’t even get the last order within the 90mins time slot."
  • "Terribly slow sloppy service with lots of excuses about being 'so sorry we're soooo busy.'"
  • "The service overall was very slow, staff were avoiding eye contact, forgot drinks."
  • "We walked out after 20 minutes because we couldn’t catch the eye of the three staff members who were stood doing very little of anything at the bar."

Food Quality

Pros:

  • "We stopped in for a gluten free brunch and it was DIVINE. So few breakfast places take care to season each composing element of a dish, but not here! Every bite was delicious and perfectly seasoned."
  • "Best avocado toast I’ve ever had! I added poached eggs to mine and they were perfectly cooked."
  • "The roast cod on rosti was very good."
  • "The food was well prepared, fresh, simple and tasty."
  • "For breakfast we went for the full English and Chili Eggs. Presentation was on point for both, and the full English was not greasy at all...well cooked and presented."
  • "The food was incredible and the service was warm, welcome and accommodating for our dietary requirements (vegetarian)."
  • "The food was excellent!"

Cons:

  • "Completely ruined by the fact the front doors are left wide open and the restaurant is freezing."
  • "Food was good but I thought a little expensive for what it is."
  • "But they were disappointing and seemed just like the ones you can buy at the supermarket freezer aisle, with a bit of parmesan on top."
  • "The club sandwich was quite bland and the prawn toast was too oily completely destroying the lobster."
  • "The pork and beef were quite dry and were on the smallish side. The carrots and broccoli were ok, but not great."
  • "Food came out luke-warm, and extremely bland."
  • "The main grievance was the extremely small portion sizes that did not reflect their excessive prices."

Atmosphere & Decor

Pros:

  • "Love this place so much. Such a good location as it's close to many bus stops and the pier, and the interior is lovely!! Very bright and modern vibe."
  • "The overall vibe of this restaurant is great, very cool decor and good music."
  • "The decor is delightful, spacious and pretty plants."
  • "Maybe the place is a bit too instagrammable and maybe the ambitious food ideas don't always come together as coherently as they should, but the setting is really elegant, light filled, airy and comfy."
  • "The atmosphere was inviting."
  • "The atmosphere and interior of this place is nice and pretty."
  • "The interior is bright and airy with plenty of natural light."

Cons:

  • "Not impressed by the glitzy makeover - styled somewhere between a cosmetic surgery waiting room, self-service canteen and a hairdressers."
  • "The restaurant also had a huge bbq next to our table and they kept cleaning it with all the dust coming to our direction."
  • "The atmosphere and cleanliness has taken this place from being sophisticated to just another standard issue hen do bar."
  • "Garden area felt very noisy due to the crowd and layout."
  • "Bland and lacking any real atmosphere."
  • "Slow service, no one asked how the food even was - standard protocol for restaurants."
  • "The tables were too close together, my £9.50 button sized burger did nothing to appease my appetite."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "The food arrived promptly and was very competitively priced."
  • "The evening dinners are of higher class and excellent. But yet remained decent pricing!"
  • "All this for £15.90."

Cons:

  • "For drinks with very little alcohol in them, 1 main and 1 side, we paid almost £50pp which is equivalent to the amount we paid for dinner & 3-4 glasses of wine each at a Michelin restaurant the night before, so I would not recommend this restaurant for bottomless brunch based on the experience I had."
  • "We would have had to have 7 mimosas each to make it worth the money..."
  • "There were only 2 very bland drinks options for bottomless brunch that we paid an extortionate amount for."
  • "If you’re going just for food then it’s fine, as the food is nice, but if you’re going for bottomless brunch please avoid. It’s £40+ and you get really watered down alcohol."
  • "The coffees were small for such expensive prices- £16 for two coffees!"
  • "It was pricy and with the taste I would not say it is worth it."
  • "The bill was 36.66.what a rip off."
