  • "The receptionist was helpful despite my behaviour of being frantic and gave guidance of where to travel to and a text message of the location."

Cons:

  • "The reception lady was amazing, however the night vet Michelle really needs to learn some empathy, my family were distraught."
  • "We weren't listened to properly in regards to my dogs health."
  • "The lady at the reception was really good, kind and efficient however not the same can be said about the vet we have seen."
  • "Had to take my cat to the emergency service as she was screaming in pain. They would only give pain relief and no antibiotics."

Cost and Billing

Pros:

  • "The call centre gave us good advice about bird flu too. They saw us straight away and took the bird from us to examine. Luckily they thought the bird would be fine. This is a great service, we didn't have to pay anything."
  • "When he was returned to me, the test was discussed, recommendations were made and we went on our way."
  • "Once they arrived, they checked her over immediately on arrival and unbelievably she didn’t have a mark on her! My husband went to pay and he was told there would be no charge."
  • "Excellent service for a Bank Holiday! Very good system for social distancing; my dog was very happy waiting in my car with me instead of in a waiting room."
  • "Thank you for your care and support during a very sad time. You did your best and, working within the Covid19 restrictions, allowed us to say goodbye."

Cons:

  • "They had added all sort of admin charges and fees for processing the claim, which they never told me about."

Professionalism and Expertise

Pros:

  • "The vet and staff were very helpful, very caring, and did an excellent job looking after my dog Arnold."
  • "The service was excellent. I was given taxi numbers to ring and when I arrived the vet was waiting. She explained what was wrong with my cat and gave me a prognosis."
  • "My cat required urgent assistance following a fight with another cat, injuring his eye. As my vet was closed on a Saturday afternoon I was referred to Vets Now. Theo was seen immediately."
  • "We received fantastic service from the Hemel Hempstead Vet Now team. We were met at the door by vet Kate and her team who carried out a through examination of our dog."
  • "Thank you for your care and support during a very sad time. You did your best and, working within the Covid19 restrictions, allowed us to say goodbye, which my wife and I appreciated very much."

Cons:

  • "I must also add I found both the triage nurse and the vet we saw not up to par and certainly not worth what they're charging."
  • "The vet was rude, and told us that we need to stop stressing - it’s a bit hard not to be upset when your loved one is passing and your whole world is crashing down around you in the worst way possible."
  • "I had to take my very poorly dog Molly to Vets Now Friday 15 July. I was met by Michelle, she was so lovely, compassionate and dealt with me and Molly very sensitively. She explained everything clearly."
  • "I Have been trying to contact Vets Now (Hemel) over the last month but despite leaving several messages with customer services and finance have not received any call back."
  • "The vet did not offer any advice on keeping the abscess wound clean, instead I had to search Google for this information."
  • "Our guinea pig was very poorly. The vet had a good look at him concluded that she didn’t really know what he had and told us without any further investigation that euthanasia was going to be the cheapest option."
  • "Terrible, they did x-rays and said nothing major to worry about. Keep an eye on her. Took her to another vet the best day, they also said she was ok. She died that night. Our hearts are broken."
  • "A pretty poor experience for emergency out of hours service - a seven hour wait with a sick five month old puppy before seeing anyone, only to be told there’s nothing wrong."
