  • "Excellent performance. Seats a bit uncomfortable after an hour or so."
  • "We went to see "As You Like It" and enjoyed the performance."
  • "The performance was brilliant, the theatre was comfortable and air conditioned."

Cons:

  • "The production was a bit too modern for me and the costumes or lack of confusing and odd."
  • "A disappointing seat for this production (stalls F2)... Too much of the action is hidden from view."

  • "The play left me a little underwhelmed. The set was a particularly strong aspect of the show but I was not blown away by any other aspect."

Facilities and Amenities

Pros:

  • "This building is like old and new architecture mixture."
  • "The theater is very well set-up. Even though I was relatively far from the stage, the view was great."
  • "Great museum, backstage tour, coffee and good, happy times."
  • "There is a gift shop with all Shakespeare's inspired books and trinkets."
  • "Amazing theatre with an auditorium designed on the novel principle that everyone in the audience should have a good view of the stage."
  • "The amenities are also great with a RSC shop, full of Shakespeare themed gifts, books and clothing."
  • "Staff so friendly cannot do enough for you... a fabulous, interesting building with a shop, bar, cafe & restaurant."
  • "The front of house tour was excellent and the guide was quite knowledgeable."

Cons:

  • "The only minor niggle was that we were quite chilly, possibly due to the air conditioning."
  • "Be warned that the seats are actually higher off the floor than the two rows in front, like a bar stool."
  • "My only negative comment is that the theatre seats are very small with very little leg room."
  • "The seats are really uncomfortable and tightly packed, so no room to move around and get comfortable."
  • "Some of the seats on the upper levels in The Swan are high requiring you to climb into them."
  • "The seating map and layout is not very good, I was in Upper Circle and thought I had picked seat next to an entrance/exit area but it wasn't."
  • "However, the photo of the obstruction of my seat, on the company's website was misleading."
  • "It's surprisingly intimate and all seats get great views as far as I can tell."
