  • "Absolutely amazing Christmas display and products had tea and cake whilst there which was lovely."
  • "This is one of the best garden centres ive been to. They sell everything for gardens, conservatories or summer house. If you have time for breakfast or lunch pop into the restaurant..lovely breakfast and a huge selection of cakes."
  • "A nice place to visit for a cuppa and slice of cake. They have a good selection of goods."
  • "Had a lovely afternoon tea today for a friend's birthday would highly recommend lovely sandwiches and home made cakes."

Cons:

  • "Appalling rude service from cafe. I was met with a welcome of 'yep' and each time I placed an order for an item she said 'yep'."
  • "Really disappointed with the food. Very expensive for what you got - £16.00 for a greasy burger with bacon & extra greasy cheese."
  • "Nice garden centre but the breakfast in the cafe was poor. 2 of us, one overcooked eggs, the other got undercooked white."
  • "Disappointed with the quality of the food in the Lime Tree Restaurant it has really gone downhill."
  • "Breakfast not edible although reasonable priced. Bacon hard sausages burnt, wrong toast arrived when we were half way through our breakfast."
  • "The service in the restaurant wasn't great, the lady who served us seemed really put out that we were ordering food."
  • "Paid £16.20 for 2 jacket potatoes to takeaway...no cheese on either, who eats that ?? 2 sets of plastic cutlery."
  • "The cafe is ridiculously popular and it took 20 minutes to get two cups of very average coffee."

Plant and Product Selection

Pros:

  • "Huge range of products, beautifully displayed. Not just outdoor and indoor plants, but everything from planters, gardening tools, compost and plant food."
  • "Great independent Garden Centre. Huge selection of plants outside and wide variety of items inside."
  • "Very well stocked garden centre. Extensive parking. A good veg and fruit stall outside at the entrance."
  • "Such a lovely garden centre! One of the best ones I've been to in a while. The centre is definitely more based at experienced gardeners, and doesn't have any 'tat'."
  • "Always clean and well stocked. Has plenty of ideas for gifts of all kinds. Really nice cafeteria."
  • "Good and wide selection of plants, the collection of roses was impressive. Staff helpful when I needed gardening advice."
  • "Very good garden centre selling a wide range of goods with extended grounds containing a range of small outlets selling gifts, crafts and clothing."
  • "Huge garden centre with absolutely everything you might need. Outside shopping village, aquatic centre, homewares, farm shop and a butcher's."

Cons:

  • "Only negative I found was not a lot of choice of outdoor plants - perhaps this is a bad time of year for that?"
  • "Not a garden centre but a retail outlet that used to be a garden centre. At this time it's a tacky Xmas shop."
  • "A very typical 'garden center' that is mostly 'stuff' for sale, in this case Christmas tat."
  • "The whole place is overpriced and coffee shop is very slow service."
  • "Used to be our go to garden centre, lovely shop, great plant selection, really nice restaurant. Something seems to have changed recently, restaurant not as good, lots of empty shelves in the shop, plants predictable, just not special anymore !!"
  • "However, the butchers quality of meat produce has gone drastically down hill and the prices have shot up since over the last year or so."
  • "A bit busy, they did eventually open more tills. 26 quid for a decent plant, little bit pricey for my liking."
  • "Very disappointing range of garden furniture even though it is end of season."
