  • "They saved my baby and for that I can't thank them enough.. They went above and beyond."
  • "The vets who looked after her throughout the process were amazing, gave her all the love she needed and care."
  • "Each time we have needed the care of Eastcott vets they have gone that extra mile to ensure that our pets were cared for in a professional but very caring way."

Cons:

  • "So basically he has been charged £1000 just for them to almost kill the dog and not provide the surgery she needed."
  • "I am now £5,600 lighter and paid for a test that was never carried out and nearly lost my dog due to their negligence."
  • "They refused to discuss it and said if the eye doesn’t recover that it was unethical to keep him alive!"
  • "Absolute shambles! It's all about the money not the welfare of your pet! Avoid at all costs!"
  • "Avoid like the plague, had to have my beautiful princess put to sleep this week, despite it being a traumatic time they were on the phone within minutes of speaking to the vets asking how I was going to pay."
  • "Very unprofessional overpriced experience for my dog."
  • "Absolutely disgraceful treatment of a dog that they were warned needed careful handling."

Customer Service

Pros:

  • "The staff at Eastcott cannot be faulted, they are friendly and professional both with me and my pet."

  • "Efficient practice. Everything from start to finish was stress free."

Cons:

  • "The total lack of understanding and empathy from all reception staff that we dealt with was noticeably lacking."
  • "Today, I get a SMS message from a debt collection company. So Eastcott Vets have prioritised sending accounts to debt collection, with not even a phone call to try to resolve any issues."
  • "The place is disorganised and really slow."
  • "One very small gripe is that it could sometimes take quite a while to have the telephone answered."
  • "Absolutely shocked by the way our beautiful pets death has been treated."
  • "Uncaring lying unprofessional vets and staff."
  • "Avoid at all costs, they have zero care for you as a client of over 11 years and clearly have no compassion."

Communication

Pros:

  • "Fully informed of procedures and options available."
  • "We was contacted before, during and after the procedure and ever thought was explained clearly to myself and my family."
  • "I can tell the way they treat him that they love animals and I have no hesitancy in recommending them."
  • "The vets explained procedures and test results very well and the aftercare following our cats operation couldn't be faulted with regular check up phone calls."
  • "We get regular updates on how he’s doing and what they’ve done and what they are intending to do."
  • "We were updated every step of the way."
  • "Whenever we've had sick pets they've clearly explained the problems and outlined what the options are."

Cons:

  • "They refused to discuss it and said if the eye doesn’t recover that it was unethical to keep him alive!"
  • "I would say I am unhappy with the clinic, how slow they are and the complete lack of communication with me as a pet owner."
  • "The neurologist didn’t communicate very well."
  • "It turned out she was suffering from kidney failure and we found this out from another vet 2 days later and sadly had to have her put down."
  • "They incorrectly billed for more even when this was queried numerous times and still haven't credited it despite acknowledging only one ultrasound was made."
  • "The vet couldn't diagnose what actually cost my dog's illness."
  • "I will never trust Eastcot with one of my pets ever again."

Financial Aspects

Pros:

  • "Really professional and helpful and at a very stressful time delt directly with petplan."
  • "The cost was given to us there an then, we were told that it was capped at that amount (no insurance), which is amazing as this allowed us to budget for it."
  • "Thanks for giving me a very clear explanation of what work needed to be done and for taking the financial stress out of the procedure by claiming directly form Pet Plan, my insurer."

Cons:

  • "So basically he has been charged £1000 just for them to almost kill the dog and not provide the surgery she needed."
  • "I am now £5,600 lighter and paid for a test that was never carried out and nearly lost my dog due to their negligence."
  • "The appointment with medicine cost me almost 100£."
  • "They charge several thousands of pounds but don't claim from all the insurance companies directly and expect payment in full otherwise no treatment, I have been told."
  • "So there we have it, I've just got off a call with a debt collection agency to pay a vets bill that I was more than willing to pay directly to Eastcott Vets directly, had they called and asked."
  • "Absolutely shocked by the way our beautiful pets death has been treated."
  • "Absolutely disgraceful treatment of a dog that they were warned needed careful handling."
