Experience Quality

Pros:

  • "An experience like no other."
  • "Simply amazing! Did my first tandem jump with a friend today and it was a fantastic experience all round."
  • "The most incredible day skydiving."
  • "Absolutely the best experience EVER - brilliant team, really know their stuff, clearly love doing it, very easy going and professional πŸ‘Œ Great atmosphere there from start to finish… will have to go back and do another!"
  • "Amazing experience. Truly one of the most exhilarating things that I've ever done."
  • "Absolutely amazing did the sky dive this Saturday I had an instructor cool Darrell he was absolutely amazing and told me every step of the way along with a cameraman called Hamish they were both amazing really enjoyed my experience."
  • "The skydive, which was my first, was amazing and exhilarating."

Cons:

  • "The entire excitement vanished the moment we saw the photos for which we had paid extra Pound 100."
  • "Travelled 100miles for this event and they didn't even have the courtesy to ring me and inform me that the event had been cancelled on the day."
  • "Even if we get to jump next time the surprise of the birthday present is gone doubt we'll be back even if the jump is amazing."
  • "The costumes provided to us by our instructors were too big in size, dull and faded."
  • "Great experience but they could improve the whole experience by using technology and providing more info."
  • "Mediocrity in the extreme. Sat there for hours in glorious sunshine to be told 'don't like the look of that weather' ... That never came."
  • "The major downside was the receptionist and the manager unfortunately. After our first jump being cancelled due to weather... they just made out we were lying in front of everyone and got quite aggressive."

Staff and Instructors

Pros:

  • "Great staff that know how to have fun."
  • "The instructors were funny and made the information easy to understand and engaging."
  • "Chris was incredible to jump with."

  • "The staff are just fabulous here, very friendly and reassuring."
  • "The instructors at the Hinton Sky Diving Centre are undoubtedly the heart of this unforgettable experience."

Cons:

  • "Apparently it's my responsibility to ring them and find out if it's going ahead and not theirs."
  • "Maybe put a more cheerful person on the desk!!!"
  • "And funny when I called them and asked 'would it be possible to get a slot tomorrow?' the lady replied - Well for that I'll have to wake up tomorrow and see if the weather is good maybe she talked to me like that because my name doesn't sound British (If you know what I mean ) How shallow and pedantic."
  • "Woman behind the check in desk was a miserable so an so though and was second visit and she was no different 1st time."
  • "No refunds. Just 'rain' cheques given. Were quick enough to take the money."
  • "I guess It's really cheeky way of making money where you can take the deposit and ask the customer to run around."
  • "If you are over the weight limit to do a skydive. The receptionist will be very rude about it."

Value and Facilities

Pros:

  • "They also have a very cheap cafe with a great variety of food and a gear shop for all your needs."
  • "The cafe had home made cakes which were perfect for a post jump treat, very tasty."
  • "Here's a tip, ring them up direct to book the course and save yourself money."
  • "The cafe serves good food and drink at a very competitive price."
  • "Cafe serves food, hot and cold drinks so no need to worry about taking anything with you."
  • "The Centre had a relaxing atmosphere with a canteen on site with good food and drink."
  • "Luckily they have a cafe on site that serves some decent food and good coffee to pass the time."

Cons:

  • "Take your own food with you as you might have to wait a while for the dive as it depends on the weather. The cafe onsite is very basic."
  • "Additionally, a couple of extra Vegan/vegetarian options would be a good addition to the current menu."
  • "There could be more facilities ie swings for kids as family’s do come to watch people jumping so they could do a lot more for visitors."
  • "Nice place to bring your own packed lunch or buy some food from the shop Β£3.50 for a little tray of chips is excessive in 2023 me thinks."
  • "The facilities were good, and would definitely benefit from having an onsite coffee machine in addition to their menu, they do provide teas and coffees."

Safety and Professionalism

Pros:

  • "The level of organization and attention to safety protocols was truly commendable."
  • "What struck me the most was the way the instructors ensured my safety without compromising on the exhilarating adventure."
  • "I have never felt more safer in a professional environment than this."
  • "Safety is number 1 here and you are made to feel safe and at ease throughout the day."
  • "Their commitment to safety was evident in their meticulous equipment checks and adherence to safety protocols, ensuring a worry-free experience."
  • "The whole process was very slick; the briefing was very professional and all the instructors instilled confidence in a first time jumper like me."
  • "This place has a very good standard for safety. It has a cafe and indoor waiting area. Dog friendly."

Cons:

  • "Downside to it is that due to bad weather conditions I had to rebook it for a few weeks in a row and wait around for a few hours but that isn't the fault of the centre as they don't control the weather and safety comes first."
  • "The only down side is that you have to wait to be called to go and that could be 2 hours after you arrive, or 6 hours..."
