Staff and Service

Pros:

  • "The staff in the box office were very kind and helpful and let us sit inside."
  • "All the staff I spoke to were amazing, friendly & helpful, with even small things like directing somewhere."
  • "Staff were helpful and friendly! Arrived as door opened and barely queued, was very well managed."
  • "The staff working the night of the BMTH (9/1/24) gig massively contributed to making this experience a 5 star!"
  • "Security were fantastic and halfway through the show when the drunk people behind were going to spoil it for so many of us, handled the situation very professionally."
  • "Really enjoyed the Jack Whitehall show and staff were helpful and friendly!"

Cons:

  • "Recently went to the louis tomlinson show and was disappointed at the staff management."
  • "Two gigs here now and both were horrendous sound. At first I thought it was the band having technical difficulties but they can't seem to get it right here."
  • "Disappointed in the view from the balcony been here a few times to watch different artists this was my 2nd time seeing Anne-Marie in Cardiff the 1st time I had floor seats and the view was fab."
  • "Went to see Peter Kay we turned up a bit early and being I have a tracheostomy the high winds made it difficult for me to breath but the staff in the box office were very kind and helpful and let us sit inside."

Sound Quality and Acoustics

Pros:

  • "Otherwise this is a really good venue, friendly staff, good atmosphere."
  • "Had a great night! Saw Noel Gallagher recently and had great fun, music was amazing & acoustics great, got to dance the evening away."
  • "AMAZING PERFORMERS!! Really enjoyed with my elderly mother and teen niece. Had us in tears and laughter throughout. Really connected to the stories. Unbelievable atmosphere and energy."
  • "Monday night gig (madness) parked opposite straight in and straight out after no queues at all. Friendly security. Great standing venue."

Cons:

  • "Some slight buzz from the speakers around the middle of the arena which causes some reverb and lowers sound quality is the only reason I've docked a star."
  • "Venue very cold and a bit too open so some of the lighting and smoke effects a bit lost. Acoustics were good."
  • "Two gigs here now and both were horrendous sound. Visuals get cut off partway on the screen, mics cut in and out and sound balance is all wrong."
  • "Saw classic rock show here. Venue very cold and a bit too open so some of the lighting and smoke effects a bit lost. Acoustics were good."

Facilities and Cleanliness

Pros:

  • "Comfortable seating and easy to get round. Multi story carparking 100 yards away and right near a shopping centre with lots of places to eat & drink."
  • "Great balcony seating and view of the stage. I found the seats to be more plush than the seating on the ground level ones."
  • "Toilets were in very good condition, I would definitely go here again to watch something."
  • "Venue was clean and well organised. Toilets were spotless. Queues for the bar and merchandise were fast moving."

Cons:

  • "It's not the nicest place and definitely not the greatest for live music shows."
  • "Saw classic rock show here. Venue very cold and a bit too open so some of the lighting and smoke effects a bit lost."
  • "Seats were a little too close together and snug which meant you were virtually on top of person you were sitting next too."
  • "Very poor Hard seats, not enough room between rows. We all had to stand up and walk into the isle for everyone leaving and coming back to the row."
