Food Quality

Pros:

  • "Very tasty food and amazing service! The sourdough pizza was just as good as in Italy."
  • "The best pizza in Shoreditch, real Neapolitan people preparing the real Neapolitan pizza."
  • "Gosh, the pizza was stunning. It's been a very long time since I tasted a pizza so fresh and the dough so light."
  • "The most amazing pizza I've ever had, paired with excellent wine."
  • "Had an excellent garlic bread made with their own Napolese pizza dough a tasty tomato penne and Nutella-charged tiramisu."
  • "Pizzas are excellent and the pasta is really well-made."
  • "Proper italian style pizza with limited ingredients but very tasty."

Cons:

  • "The carbonara pasta had pieces of crumbed egg white and the sartu di riso tasted of burned pan."
  • "The pasta was not al dente and clearly overcook."
  • "And for my main, it was only marginally better than pasta with ketchup."
  • "Then the pizza on the bottom was burned."
  • "Gluten free was just below average."
  • "And dessert was simply not fresh. Avoid."
  • "Ate the gluten free pizza but was awful, it costs +1£ and it’s smaller, bad consistency and not done well."

Service

Pros:

  • "Servers were attentive and very kind."
  • "Staff Is super nice and pay attention to the detail of the service."
  • "The staff was super nice and the service quick."
  • "Service is also super friendly. Highly recommended!"
  • "He’s really friendly and accommodating, providing really good customer service."
  • "Fantastic staff, they're so friendly and will suggest a dish if you're unsure."

Cons:

  • "As a customer I noticed this restaurant employees including managers very rude and well bad behave."
  • "We raised the issue and the manager became angry."
  • "The only issue we had was a giant dark hair embedded in the cheese of one of our pizzas."
  • "Very slow service even if the restaurant was half empty."
  • "We waited for 20 minutes before someone even came to take our order."
  • "Food is okay but frankly the service was pretty bad. 1hr for a salad and pasta, 15 mins of which was waiting for our order to be taken."
  • "The service is incredibly slow."

Atmosphere

Pros:

  • "The atmosphere was interesting with some rather loud, upbeat music for a restaurant, but we loved it."
  • "Great choice of music."
  • "A great balance of cozy and modern it’s always my first thought for any meal in the area."
  • "Very nice restaurant with a cosy vibe."
  • "Lovely staff, nice atmosphere but - most importantly - incredible range of delicious pizzas."
  • "There is also a very nice atmosphere, as there is nice music and low lights, which give the restaurant a romantic feel."
  • "Really nice and comfortable athmosphere."

Cons:

  • "Also the lighting was a bit flat, simple tea lights on tables would be much more cosy and provide a bit more warmth inside (!)"
  • "It was also freezing cold the entire the entire time I was there."
  • "However the music in the venue was so loud my partner and I had to resort to lip reading."
  • "The music was hella loud and the same four tracks played for our dinner."
  • "The deep house music doesn’t help."
  • "The music was way too loud (had to ask them to turn it down)."
  • "We dined at the Hoxton restaurant, we were sat at the back room which smelt like putrid."

Value

Pros:

  • "The prices are fair for the portion size."
  • "The prices are so reasonable... You will really get the same feeling you get in a restaurant in Italy."

  • "Excellent pricing, especially considering the quality of the food."
  • "One of the best Italian restaurant in London, the pizza is pretty much like the real Napoli pizza. Prices are good and stuff is friendly and helpful."
  • "Lovely place, romantic atmosphere and great food and wine!!!"
  • "Respectable prices and charming atmosphere."

Cons:

  • "Overpriced Italian similar to many high street chain restaurants."
  • "Bloody expensive. It's unreal the price for a mediocre pizza they sell here."
  • "Lovely service, however the food is ridiculously overpriced and when asking to not put one of the ingredients and instead put extra of the other we got charged for two portions of the starter."
  • "I paid more then 45 pounds for one pizza and two cocktails, including service charge(12.5%) and ocean care. ( 1 pound)"
  • "It was also quite expensive, with a steep service charge."
  • "Incredibly expensive pizzas, can get much better around this area."
  • "As a Neapolitan I would love to support Neapolitan businesses but can’t justify to myself paying pizzas double the price of Franco Manca and four times what I would pay in Naples."
