  • "The atmosphere was very cosy and relaxed, exactly what you want on a cold winters night."
  • "A very pleasant atmosphere and service."
  • "The Christmas decorations throughout were beautiful and the atmosphere was warm and cosy."

Cons:

  • "Premise needs urgent attention, the draft through the rotten window frame was unwelcome and the £5 heater was an undesirable way to replace the log burner."
  • "The restaurant was chilly, almost uncomfortable."
  • "We were also sat in a section with a large group which was very weird, we essentially became part of their celebration with kids running around our table."
  • "Despite the beautiful building & the lovely interior, the when place gave off the feeling of a Harvester."
  • "The only downside was a live act that started playing halfway way through our meal, this was too loud and prevented any further conversation."
  • "The untasty sandwich and fly-away umbrella were unfortunate and wouldn't stop me returning to this lovely old pub. I would suggest filling the weights on the umbrella stands though..."
  • "Overpriced low quality pub food and drinks. No value for money at all."

  • "The service charge was hidden as ‘20% VAT’."
  • "Service was very slow, you took an age to bring my brothers spicy pepperoni pizza, there was no apology for its lateness."
