Cons:

  • "The reception and the waiting area is a mess... the reception isn’t attentive at all."

Professionalism and Expertise

Pros:

  • "Eleine is the loviest vet I have ever met. Hope she will continue to work there for a long time."
  • "The vet was very methodical and patient when giving me all the instructions about what was going on, how he sees the possible solutions with a lot of details."
  • "They have been nothing but professional and compassionate with me here, if anything ever changes I'll change my review but as it stands I trust this clinic with my furry family."

Cons:

  • "I visited this place for yearly vaccination and was greatly disappointed by the approach of the vet, saying my completely healthy dog has strange sounds in his heart and needs treatments for a complete value of 1,5k."
  • "It is months since this incident and I must say, this vet scarred me for life. They are so uncaring and they expect you to tell them they can cut off your rabbit's leg in the same day?"
  • "The vet didn't even attempt to carry out a health check, failed to answer any of my questions about alternative options other than steroids and then charged me for prescription and consultation."
  • "Dog went in for surgery prices kept changing them staff getting prices wrong."
  • "The vet that we met with was rather dismissive and didn't fully consult us on how to proceed with the vaccination plan."
  • "So unprofessional and UNEDUCATED and don’t answer the phone... My puppy has ingested some chewing gum which can be very toxic... the vet just to say there’s nothing to worry about and the dog will just pass the gum when he goes toilet."
  • "I left feeling like this vet practice didn't actually care about the well being of animals and a little disappointed with the treatment I was given."

Communication and Follow-up

Pros:

  • "Thank you all for helping with Gordos Friday."
  • "It was an emergency visit and there was no time slots available, but after reception listen what was my pet's symptom asked me to come immediately and my pet was looked after by lovely vet (or nurse I am not sure)."
  • "To my surprise I was able to get an appointment the same day as I made the phone call."
  • "Upon arrival, I was seen fairly quick."

Cons:

  • "Took my guinea pig in on an emergency appointment where a blood sample was drawn for a blood test. It's been 16 days now and we still have not heard back from the vet."
  • "Was the last appointment for the day and received news an urgent x-ray was needed but they shut and we needed to come in the next day."
  • "They called me to collect my dog with no information about her surgery."
  • "I had a call from another vets to tell me the appointment had been cancelled... I was told the appointment would be now in June 15th rather than 3rd of April."
  • "I then come out to the reception desk to pay for the cleanser and I am told the visit is £38????"
  • "Despite my cat having several blood tests there previously, on my last visit was told that three of them couldn’t draw blood."
  • "Never answer the phone, or emails."

Value and Pricing

Pros:

  • "You never have to wait too long to book an appointment and you can get advice over the phone."
  • "The cost is so much cheaper than the vets near me which is great."
  • "Great pricing as well."

Cons:

  • "Paid £82 for my dog to get a cut on the tip of his tail looked at for them to trim it, put a syringe over it and bandage it. 5 minutes into my walk home the bandage was already off so £82 pound wasted lol."
  • "They even tried to charge us the higher 'day fee' for a cat instead of a rabbit, what a farce!"
  • "I had been there to check the hot spots my Akita keeps on getting... it is very interesting the price they charge for the same medicine which is not valued more than £10 to be charged at £46 in your prescription."
  • "I think £8 is a lot for a nail cut especially as her nails have to be cut every 4/6 weeks as they grow very quickly. It's a lot of money when you're on a low income."
  • "Very expensive, especially if you do not have pet insurance... For a 24hr treatment I paid £224, and still she was ill."
  • "Charged me £33 for telling me this! Conning people out of their money."
  • "I was then asked if I would like to leave her there or take her home with me, I said I would leave her there as it was easier for me at that point. Dr Carta never stated there would be any fee for leaving her there, and I assumed cremation was included with the cost of euthanasia. It was over £100."
