Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The food was filling and tasted delicious."
  • "The food tasted fresh and as if it was made with good quality ingredients."
  • "The sauces were fantastic."
  • "Despite the heat, it was very tasty."
  • "The food came pretty quickly and was delicious."
  • "The food is always delicious, but the staff at this restaurant should be sent to some other of the chain to learn about service."
  • "The food was gorgeous and our server, Zak, helped us navigate the menu and ensure that we had everything we needed."
  • "The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented."

Cons:

  • "Very overpriced. Calamari was dry as hell."
  • "The broth in the ramen was not seasoned, the noodles were overcooked, and the chicken was supposed to be grilled, but it wasn't, it was very dry."
  • "The portions are generous and quality of ingredients is always good. The staff are always very friendly and are attentive, without being intrusive."
  • "The ramen, usually the centrepiece of our Wagamama order, simply bland; the Ebi Katsu way, way too oily."
  • "Food portions are getting smaller and cold, taste is ok but not worth the price."
  • "The food quality was average and the waiting time to be seated definitely too long taking into consideration they had free tables."
  • "Wagamamas has a new menu, which is definitely worse than the old one."
  • "Very mediocre food. I ordered pad thai. The prawns were cold."

Service

Pros:

  • "The service was rapid! The food was absolutely delicious and ordering a mixture of sides and mains also to eat in and to then take some sides away, the staff were more than helpful and went above and beyond."
  • "Great friendly service."
  • "Amazing experience!! Came for a quick meal and the service was rapid!"
  • "The staff is attentive and there is a huge offer of meals, with vegan dishes clearly indicated."
  • "Great service and food on a very busy Thursday night! We were seated within minutes and attended to regularly throughout the night."

Cons:

  • "Interesting. Food and service was good but seating and atmosphere… terrible!"
  • "Just dreadful service. Didn't even get to the table."
  • "The staff was friendly but the food was bland and tasteless."
  • "Good food, but AWFUL service. Whenever I go there, servants always mess something up: bring completely different order or forget your order altogether!"
  • "Very terrible service, we'd ordered green tea for few times, but all the waitress just ignore us and ran away."
  • "Busy at lunch time we had to ask three times for someone to take our order, then had to remind someone else we'd ordered drinks."
  • "Untrained staff, missed items on order, served cold and late."
  • "20 minutes no service. System issues. Worst wagamama experience ever."

Atmosphere

Pros:

  • "Lovely food and atmosphere."
  • "The interior had long communal tables and bar-style chairs. It wasn't your typical Asian-style restaurant, but it had its own unique design, and it was quite lovely."
  • "The atmosphere was lively and engaging, and the food was absolutely delicious."
  • "USB charging points in every booth! Excellent job on the renovation - decor looks much better than earlier incarnations of Wagamamas."

Cons:

  • "The food was good, but the atmosphere at this restaurant may take some getting used to for some."
  • "Interesting. Food and service was good but seating and atmosphere… terrible!"
  • "It was super uncomfortable 🥴 and the music was so freaking LOUD!"
  • "Unfortunately the atmosphere in the restaurant is a little bit uninviting and the music is too loud."
  • "But, there was a lot of people (which of course is very nice) but the atmosphere a bit cantine/cafeteria like…"
  • "The seating arrangements are also bizarre with the shared benches."
  • "Good food but as with all their restaurants, it's like eating in a school canteen. Invest in chairs and separate tables."
  • "If you know the taste of Japanese cuisines, this is the last place to go for a meal. Foods are awful. It feels like all the chefs learned Japanese food by the book."
