Animal Experiences

Pros:

• "Excellent day out for the whole family especially for young children as they can up close and personal with so many different animals."
• "Fantastic place. We went for Christmas and the effort they put into the Santa/elf experience was amazing."
• "Great day out for the kids! There's Horses, Pigs, Donkeys, Lamas, Cows, Reindeers, Rabbits and Guinnea Pigs."

Cons:

• "The only joy we had was looking at the sculptures that were made out of horse shoes. It's worth a visit for that alone, but not the farm shop."
• "The farm shop has one of the best butchers for mules around. And so reasonably priced! Their hunters chicken is incredible and their thick sausages are so good they are worth traveling for."
• "Animal welfare seemed low. The animals had no food in their enclosures. When being fed the feed you buy at the door they were ravenous."

Food and Shopping

Pros:

• "Nice sized menu had a small wait for pizza's (around 20 mins), all came out nice and hot."
• "The farm shop is decent but not worth the drive there anymore as the rest of the place is awful."
• "The farm shop has expanded a lot and had good stock, but most of the rest of the site is for children."
• "Visited for an art class with 'look what Debbie did' which was fantastic. The site has changed a lot. No garden centre anymore."

• "I was very disappointed with the farm shop and looked at the meats that were prepacked, not what I expected."
• "Had an absolutely amazing family day out here. Below you'll also find a selection of some of the animals you will see. All the animals are very friendly, have great personalities and the price to see them is extremely cheap, the value for money here is incredible."
• "Not even close to accessible for pram or wheelchair. Deep gravel makes it completely impassable by wheelchair and incredibly difficult to move a pram."

Pros:

• "A great place to visit. Lots of animals to see, nice play barn for younger kids and fun attractions for older ones."
• "Really fantastic place to go. It got shops with goodies in lovely food. There is a farm a play area made out of wood. Also tractor rides n train rides too."
• "Small selection of animals including a petting area and wash facilities. In order to see the animals payment must be made to get into Billy's Barn Farm where you'll walk through a great exploration area with wooden buildings and bridges between them."
• "One of those places that the little rug rats seem to like, with the outdoor activities and interaction with animals for when the weather is on the dry side at Billys Barn."

Cons:

• "It's okay for a quick trip, I wouldn't say a day out is worth it but for what it is it's expensive. Signs to tell you where to go is lacking you get lost quite easy if you've never been before."
• "We had a short train journey to visit Father Christmas and his wife. My grandchildren enjoyed the ride, long enough for a one and two year old."
• "Advertised as majority wheelchair accessible yet the whole of the farm area is deep gravel which is completely unsuitable for wheelchair users."
• "They make a good effort for the Santas grotto as you go through different well decorated rooms to finally get to Santa.. this year the rooms were shortened and was a bit gutted for the £70 we paid."
